Joaquin, your dio is getting soooo awsome. Not just the size but the execution and research made. It's gorgeous!!!
But I have bad news for you: you said in your last update that you're done with the add-ons. Sorry my friend. We're never done!! Hahahaha
Congrats for the amazing work.

OK Joaquim thank you.
You show a lot of vehicles kits; Will you use all of them for this diorama ?
Hello Alex. Yes those 6 vehicles are intended for this dio. However, I have not placed to upper shells to determine if all 6 will look too cluttered... I hope that's not the case but I'm a long ways away. First step will be to complete both sections. I'll look into placing those shells on there to get a gage on spacing. I'll post a pic once I get them on there.

Hey there Nacho, LOL bro I know I'm not done buying. Already got my eye on more stuff but I really got to build all the stuff in hand first - like Nick said, it's looking like a hobby shop in here! LOL

Happy weekend modelers!
Just wanted to stop by and share a few pictures of the final items received this week to complete this project.
But first, thanks for the continued interest, comments, and views.
Patrick,
Speaking of "size & scope"... I think it's a good time to recap my outstanding to do kits. The pictures on this update will feature The New & The pending kits to build.
Cheyenne,
Appreciate the kind words my friend and yes, it's getting bigger! LOL
I want to give a special thanks to one of our fellow members; John Wypyszinski (white4doc) for his generous donation of the beautiful MIG Burnt Out Car kit.
In total, I received 6 new kits this week, as follows:
Possible burnt car location - she fits like a glove.
(4x) New Plus Model kits;
,,,,
The pending:
(6x) US ARMY vehicles:
Figures (over 35):
,
Kits (Block 2):
Lots on the to do list! Good thing about building huge dioramas I learned quickly is that there's always a new task at hand... New kit, planning, detailing, weathering... Repeat! Love this hobby!!!

Paul, ebay is where I found the kits as Marcos indicated.
However, I purchased straight from verlinden the manufacture. I found "Dragon-Hobby" to be a bit more expensive. I received a discounted 20% rate for multi-items purchased. Ask before you buy and you might get lucky.

That was a stroke of luck now that Verlinden has shut down...

Hello follow modelers, its been a very long time since I've touched the hobby due to life challenges but I believe its now time to come back and get this project rolling again.
I noticed the photo-bucket issues reach its peak and so I'm in search for an alternate photo sharing site. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Thanks brother, been about 1 year since I last sniffed the glue... but happy to be back on it LOL.
Being away from the project for such a long time has provided me with the opportunity to reevaluate the visual flow of the structures. Changes have been planned and I soon will be sharing those details along with some progress pictures on my next post.
As always, thanks for looking!

Thank you gentlemen for the continued interest in this project's long build. As we all have experienced delays, multiple revisions to plans and so on... However, the journey and outcome pays it forward when the work is done.
Many amazing builds by many modelers here in my one year absence that continue to provide inspirations and generate imagination to all that is possible in this miniature world of 1/35 scale.
I am finally at the point of the project where I can pour all my skills and imagination into the difficult to build mosque section. I have been patiently waiting and planning this stage of the build for many years. Taking hundreds of hours of personal experience, videos, and images of these magnificent buildings and their amazing mosaic color patterns into consideration. I have envisioned a build plan that might do it justice... It's extreme fun creating it but difficult execution / results.
The current block two build stage is on the foundation preparation phase. Two material types were utilized on the mosque ground: plaster foundation to support / glue all the ceramic mosque & minaret towers and paper / foam board material to adhere to the photo paper marble tile product.
The final foundation prep work consist of pour plaster and leveling the jointing street section and the expanded sidewalk/buildings area which will cover the backdrops street view.
I will post supporting progress pictures soon displaying these efforts and results.
Thank you for stopping by folks!
