Phenomenal JG, just phenomenal especially considering the challenges you overcome to achieve this off-the-scale standard. For me truly humbling at every level, there’s no question this will be one of the best dioramas Armorama’s ever seen. You & Nick/Stickframe ought to combine forces and make a full length movie

Good afternoon modeling world community. I hope everyone had a wonderful father's day weekend & you and family find yourselves in a good place with health, love, and comfort.
Cheyenne, Jerry, & Tim: As always, thank you for the great comments, I truly appreciate all feedback.
Cheyenne, yes sir I'm hanging in there fully joy 110% & then some! Thanks buddy!
Jerry, yes sir it's another heavy piece of plaster which adds to overall weight of this display piece.
My drywall to shelve support system is designed to hold over 150lbs but I don't trust those numbers... I'm okay with current weight to block one but will aim to make Block Two using different methods...
Moving forward to finally incorporating Block Two I will apply some lesson's learned.
Block two's foundation will require much less plaster, about 30% less. This thing is heavy enough as is & it always scars the crap out of me when moving it around...
Tim, wow brother thanks for the super kind words! Many years of practice and watching others is what's gotten me here. Many great modeler's here and Nick is definitely among the best of them. Tremendous compliment brother but I know a few more whom will have a spot on the movie production!!! Staring Jerry on the production & development of all personnel. Cheyenne & Nick in charge of stage production models & detailing. What a wonderful production that will be!!!
In today's update I will provide progression pictures, notes, and ongoing WIP sequence.
The leveled sidewalks received their lines drawn for scoring assist...
The cracks & finer details to SW's will be applied at a later stage. Satisfied with the SW lines it's time for the undercoat paint...
Now it's time to address all the BLDG to Base gaps...
Applied first initial plaster seal to all background buildings in block one. Sorry if the picture's a tad dark... WE worked till the late AM hours, had to turn on the LIGHTS!
By morning time, we had all the plaster done!
Now to the time I've always been waiting for!!! The incorporation of both city blocks will finally be merged!
In order to complete block one I must bring block two up to speed. That means the sidewalks, street pavement, scratch built apartments, mosque fence & buildings, minarets, ruined mosque grounds get going.
Set one: assessment of merge & foundation leveling:
A partial city scape view from afar...
The eye level visuals on this photo are good to GO. The construction will proceed...
On my next update I will provide updates to block two - the fun awaits!

Lurker, thank you so much for your continued interest in this project's long journey.
Life certainly presents its challenges every here and then but honestly every time I get the opportunity to sit and work on this project, to me, it feels like Christmas as a child all over again! Never gets OLD. I / WE are all blessed to have the opportunities & abilities to enjoy such a wonderful hobby. I look forward to completing this project as well my friend. I will do my best to getting her done this time around God willing!
It's all gravy & eye candy from this point forward. A lot of what's left is the fun part, the painting, weathering, and super detailing...
Stay toned for more updates soon.

Hello modeling fans, hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.
Cheyenne, too funny brother, a million little things....Acquired through last 25 plus years on this wonderful craft. One who's wise once said, put it away as one day it shall come in handy.
On tonight's update I will provide WIP to block 2's current status. Unfortunately, these images will be my last for about two or four weeks due to hand surgery... no biggie but I am out of service non-mission capable for a while.
Block Two: Mosque
New arrivals:
Leveling foundation with foam to Min. weight...
Confirm visual landscape progression...
Pavement & foundation:
I always pour extra plaster in order to curve in cracks/level...
Testing 4 wheels pavement leveling..
WIP Mosque Bldg:
Staging...
Modifications & Mosque fencing materials/planning...
Man down!!!
Enjoy, please comment. Thanks for watching & Stay Safe!!!

Stunning work JG you’ve given us plenty of magic to absorb while you recover. Ouch - sincerely hope all your digits are still intact under that bandage, reminds me of some old joke about touch-typing with boxing gloves. Get well real soon

Outstanding work as always, Brother! Hopefully the surgery won't have you down and NMC for long - one thing you can use on SWMBO to justify model purchases in the near term, people who have hobbies that require fine muscle control recover faster from hand surgery, so models are absolutely essential to your successful recovery (my hand surgeon told me that after my carpal tunnel release). Feel better soon!

Thanks Tim, appreciate the kind words brother!
Typing with only one hand (the L hand when you're R handed) presents a challenge but working the freaking mouse & L/R clicking sucks but it's temporary so it's all good.
I'll be back soon to get er done!

Great work.
Hope all your fingers still there, and wish you to recover all your hand motor skill.

Thanks John really appreciate your feedback brother. I S/B FMC soon. The VA folks out here in Miami, FL take real good care of all the warriors. They removed a cyst wedged in my R index finger's knuckle... That R hand has sustained many years of necessary abuse in order to be here...
Duty & Honor! All for love of country brother!!!
John I am so looking forward to building that burnt car kit that you sent me... Got so many plans for her & I hope you like how she'll turn out.
Till then, stay safe brother!

Thanks Alex, appreciate your comments and support. I fully expect all will turn out great and should be back within two to four weeks.
Once ready, I will continue progression with fencing in mosque grounds so that the edge marble tiles can be put in place. After that it's all gravy; painting and weathering... Many high detailing work outstanding and several tons of rubble, sand, trash...
Feels like Christmas every day !
