This is a great build mate and one i always look for when im on the site. If i might make one suggestion though? Just a bit of weathering to the helmets i dont recall ever seeing one that wasnt banged around a bit. I know i was forever twatting my head inside the armour!
But as i said excellent build. Thanks for sharing.

Almost there Dan, that DPM is just superb!

I agree a little shading or "banging about" on the crew lids would be some nice icing on them. A question as I don't know much about them, are the crew domes metal?

Cheers fellas,

The crew covers are a fibre glass /Kevlar type material, I posted up some pictures of my old issued lid on my Chiefy build as ref material .They do mark quiet easily and my figures will get there lids weathered up with a few scrapes ans scratches.

Cheers for the comments chaps

Here is a pic of my old crew guard lid, one of the few items that I kept when I left.

Cheers

Just searched out your Mk11 and saved the same pics as refs! Nice close up views, normally I have to troll about the interwebs and end up trying to enlarge some fuzzy picture. Great detail - thanks.

BTW your Mk11 is superb as well, did you ever finish the base?

The figures looks great. Is that like a convoy cross on the back of the helmet.

Hi Paul,

Just a bit of graffiti fella, non official of course, I painted up most of the troops lids just to personalise them. I think i did some Welsh dragons and a few Union Flags.
My lid has the Cornish St Pirans flag, being from the county myself.

Onto some stowage, going to add some webbing wrapped around the smoke grenade dischargers as this was a common place to keep it. So onto some MK6 Kevlar Helmets.

And then to add the lens with Clear Fix and an orange tint,
looking at these as civi ski goggles

Enjoy

Are you going to sculpt the webbing yourself or is it a bought item?

Hi Martin it will be a bit of both , I have the Dragon Desert Rats figure set which will supply most of the PLCE pouches but the yolk will have to be scratch built along with the belts . It might work :-)

great idea dan, shouldnt be too hard to fashion the yoke, and it woukd be crumpled anyway. Or could just even go with a basic belt kit?

That's a good idea Martin

So the bits to be used.

Lead foil for the belt and I'll scratch a few other items like buckles from plastic card.

Funnily enough, just came across this anouncement Of webbing gear from bravo 6.
PE yokes which would work very well if your not happy with scratching them.

Thanks Martin,

Decided just to pile in with the Tamiya Tape and foil, first attempt at a set of PLCE, It will need placing to get the shape right and then painting .

Its still a bit rough at the moment.

Cheers

Thank you very much chaps, I have a few more bits to add and then onto the tracks and running gear. Still thinking about base for this one but I'll probably be starting it around the weekend.

Kind Regards

Agree with the others, that webbing worked out neat and is a really nice detailed touch.
