Can't wait for this one either. So many versions to make. Can finally replace the Azimut one that is on the workbench.
Thanks for the update.

Sorry Graham, the modeling gods demand a sacrifice. If you shelve yours, the injection kit will evaporate. For the good of the community, you must carry on.

Now this is a kit I have eagerly awaited in plastic. Now if they could just have a look at the AML series of Armoured cars.

I wonder if HobbyBoss and Tiger Model are going to be in intense competition now, and how Tiger Model's VBL is going to turn out...

And whether it will ever appear at all. So far Tiger Model are just a website without any kits released (at least I don't know of any).

A 1/72 scale M1A2 tusk seems to have been released, but I haven't seen it in 'the flesh' so to speak.

I also remember seeing sprues for the 1/35 AMX-10RC somewhere, but no kit, untill now, on the 'shelfs'

Regarding Tiger-Model.. I had told Daniel at Hobbyeasy about them and he contacted them to get their kits.. so, the company does exist but for some reason they keep giving him a date to ship out the kits to him, then they postpone to another date.. and then they do it again. Apparently they've done this a few times so far.. so, he's not sure what's going on with them. But the kits are there.. they posted pics of the sprues of the AMX.. and the boxes piled up ready to be shipped.. BUT, they keep delaying for some reason
I can't believe that after actually manufacturing the first couple of kits.. they would just decide they don't want to release them anymore.. at least I hope not

Some sprue shots. I wonder if those are all the parts of the kit.
The interior looks inferior to Tiger, but if one models it closed it shouldn't be a big problem. Does anyone has come close to the kit? Any opinios?

Not a single issue with this kit. The only problem is the abundance of fragile parts.

Hi Dimitar
Thank you for the feedback - I was worried that there might be some major fit issues.
I will have to be xtra careful with the [fragile = small or just very delicate?] parts - especially if there are many of them.
I'm looking to build a Ranger patrol (i.e. 4 vehicles) - sometime in the future and any feedback in this regard is very valuable.
Regards,
Kobus

Fragile = easy to break. Especially the roll-bar cage over the cargo of the vehicle. Plus the turn indicators behind the steering wheel and others. I'll try to find my kit and post some photos later.

Hi Kobus,
the HB RSOV is in fact a WMIK with the RSOV Front bumper/ stowage boxes. It lacks an authentic mount for the the M240 m.g.
and the mounts for water cans. Also the third tiedown lugs in the middle of the vehicle are missing. I am aware that there might be some differences in individual vehicles.
Cheers
Hans-Hermann

Hi Kobus,
forgot on point. The m.g. ring can be taken from a HMMWV and made fit between the roll-over bars.

Hi Hisham,
Apologies for hi-jacking the thread with my questions on the Ranger RSOV.
Looking forward to seeing the VBL here on our shores soon - on the list.
