Very fine work Marcos,
The watermelons are just unbelievable.
Did you roll all the other fruit by hand or found something easier?I have used small beads in the past, but they all have those annoying holes through them.
This will be outstanding I'm sure.
Will watch your progress with great anticipation.

Thank you guys! And Tom I did try looking for small beads but didn´t find any that I liked. I did try Tapioca, but the balls were just too big. So I hand rolled them individually. To paint them I did find it easier to put a small drop of paint on my fingertip and roll the small balls with it on paper. In one of the pictures you can see the crazy patterns on the paper from doing this.

Your build is coming along nicely, one thing you might want to keep in mind about your scene is the presence of civilians if there is a fire fight going on. Even in places like Fallujah you could tell you were going to be hit by how empty the streets were in an area - turn onto an empty street where the shops are closed, something bad was going to happen. On dismounted patrols most of the "action" was security at halts, talking to the locals, trying to get the vibe in the area and just looking for intel.

Thank you john. Here the story is simple, a couple of marines at a roadblock come under fire probably from a sniper so they take cover. the t.v. crew was probably interviewing the shop keeper when the fire started and turned their camera toward the pinned marines. The street vendor is trying to see if he can move his cart from the crossfire. Or something along those lines.

I can see I will need many more boxes! Also thinking of having a small table with a couple of chairs where backgammon and nargile will go. And maybe a pot of turkish coffee. What do you guys think?

Deciding what material to use for street pavement. Can you give me some suggestions? I was thinking of using a mixture of white glue, sand, and plaster and apply directly to surface. Then airbrush it black. Then drybrush it with several tones of gray and finally some pigments. What do you think?
