Hi Marcos- I have a thread for my build actually- it hasn't been updated for a bit though as I've been busy but its near the stage when I can begin painting the exterior.
https://armorama.kitmaker.net/forums/236910I reckon yours will look awesome with those windscreen grilles in place- your suggestion about opening the front panel of the roof so the interior is easy to view is also a neat idea. Too late for me to consider though as I've already glued it in place!
Anyway- keep up with the great work

Yes Karl, I follow your thread. Actually I used your pictures for reference in building the interior. I would love to see yours finnished, diorama base and all. Keep up the good work!

Lovely job. That extra PE really makes the interior look stunning!

Stellar interior work Marcos- did you make the storage bags on the doors yourself?

Those are included in the PE set.
They have a regular shape contrary to the real things.
A new update set would be nice for the duch version with slat armour, and the two pipes on the roof.
and why not additionnal weapon mount for a MAG58 on the left side, wire cutter...
Sorry for this introspection but for me the dutch kit is not complete at all.

Walter and Karl thank you for following this build. And Alex, I like your eye for perfection. The storage bags look empty on most pictures I have seen too, but I would assume that on an operation those bags would be full of consumables and supplies. I did try on one of the bags to give it a crumpled look, but it was just impossible. Maybe in the future somebody will come out with a kit with those parts molded in resin with that precise look. As for the slat armor and wire cutter, I am scratch building those. I will not go with the pipes and extra MG mount as I have seen many pictures as reference without them. Nor the x-wing antenna and ammo boxes hanging on the side of the vehicle as you can see on your last picture. I know it is a compromise, but I think I will end up with a more than fair representation of a Dutch Fennek.

Marco Your built is awesome, I'm working too on this version.
Strange there aren't any ammo box in the kit to put in the holder. And the holder is a bit over scale.

Thank you Alex, and I aqgree with you on the size of the ammo holder. But I think the one in the PE kit is better to size. You should post some pictures of your build!

Good job Marcos
Concerning the canvas bags inside the doors, you could easily do some with putty.

Thank you Olivier. I am going to stick to the PE ones, since I am pretty much done with the doors, and they don´t look that bad. And thank you Nick.

Hi Marcos,
Please, beware that there are various types of Fennek in use in the Dutch Army (Koninklijke Landmacht):
1. A light security and reconaissance vehicle
2. The same with HF radio
3. The forward air controler/ arti observer vehicle
4. The medium range AT version
5. The same with HF radio
6. General service
7. The same with HF radio
8. The Stinger platform
All cary a remote controlled .50 heavy machine gun, except the Stinger version.
The station manning is:
centre front: driver, left: commander, right: gunner/observer.
The one on the photo belongs to a armoured pioneer unit and is therefore a general service vehicle.
The FAV vehicle has more antennas in order to communicate to planes.
The AT version has a high sensor mast and can carry more load.

Thanks for the info on those bags. I didn't know there was a PE set for them- the Eduard set I have for the German vehicle didn't include the door bags. I reckon a resin add on would be the best solution- showing the bags bulging as, from what Hans-Hermann has told me about the German vehicles, every spare inch of them is packed full of kit when on operations.
The left mounted MG is a nice addition to the Dutch vehicle. Just wondering, does anyone know what the two tubes mounted at the rear are for?

Does any one know if the spare mg mount would be similar to the one Verlinden made for Israeli vehicles a while back? I think I have a spare one somewhere. Just need to know if I could get away with it.

It seems on vehicles in operations, the spare barrel is covered probably against the dust.
On this pic you can see the handle
