Great jeep, Brett. Looks nice.
Dustin, great looking mud. Don't forget the top of the tracks. They look very clean from the pictures.
I have not decided my entry yet, but will join soon.

Great Job Charlie! I do see that mesh is a bit clogged up but it is not very noticeable. If it bothers you, you can always dry brush some steel then rust colors and it will just look like corrosion. Also you can always mud her up!
Pawel, that is an interesting kit I have never seen before. Looks neat!
I need some opinions on my .50cal mount. Does the MG mount seem to sit too high? I used a Tasca set for the extra detail. Here are some pics. I could shave off the little square on the kit piece and make the mount shorter but may be it is fine the way it is, Ive never built anything with an M2 before. Thank you for your feed back.
Bryan,
I'm not sure what the 'correct' height of the mount should be, but I found a couple of photos online of M50s with the 50cal secured in the gun rest. In those photos I could clearly see the gun was pointed downward at a rather significant angle. Considering the height of your mount relative to the height of the gun rest it looks like it's probably about right.

I'm all new to this but here are picture of the my recently completed Tamiya T-55A. Here are some photos of the dry-fitting stage.
Here it is wearing its base coat prior to weathering.
Here she is all dirtied up. This was my favorite part and what will keep me coming back for more.
I hope I did all this correctly. Thanks for the opportunity to showcase my work.

The reason I asked is because your mesh engine screen seems a bit clogged in the exact same way my mesh exhaust covers did when I used Mr Surfacer on them. Not sure what the fix for that is.
I had this happen to the plastic mesh on my T-55 with the base coat of Olive Drab 2. I stripped it out replaced it and had it happen a second time. I decided to use a sharpened bamboo skewer to "pop" the offending bubbles. It was a little easier to do as by the second go around I had already installed the covers on the model and the frames held the mesh in place.

I've always been wary of getting PE screens clogged after painting. Immediately after the paint application I'd take a close look and if there are clogged areas I'd stick a pin or any similar pointed item. Another way is giving it one good blow of air as if it was my birthday cake!

Great build you guys! The Tiger and T-55 look great. That Jeep is fantastic! Thank you to all you replied to my inquiry regarding the M2 mount height. I'm going to leave it as it is. Keep up the good work everyone!

OK Gents I'm calling this one done! The tracks finally came in last week and I've been busy working with them. And fixing them every time they break. They're just too dang fragile! Now I know why I stick with Fruil tracks. Anyway here she is. Now it's off to concentrate on my entry for the Dog Campaign.

Thanks Bob, Mark & Stephen. The mantlet cover was done using tissue paper. Very easy to do and leaves a very realistic finish.

Bryan, the M51's base coat looks good and the gun is menacing.
I have been looking at my Tamiya paint and cannot decide on the color for the Churchill. Does anyone know the FS standard equivalent?

Hi Bob, That is a big ol gun alright!
Concerning the color of your Churchill I THINK what you want is SCC 15. Be sure to double check that though. The British may used SCC 15 on reworked lend-lease vehicles, you Churchill is a British design so maybe they used something else, I don't know. Here are a couple pics of a Tasca Firefly done with the Tamiya mix pictured. Pics were taken in the sunshine with an Iphone. I think it came out well.

Bryan, the Firefly looks good and I like the tones on the tracks. The figure is quite nice also (I am terrible at figures). Thanks for the info re: the color.
