Guy,
Nice-looking BT-7. Did you use Mr Surfacer in a rattle can as primer, by any chance?

The reason I asked is because your mesh engine screen seems a bit clogged in the exact same way my mesh exhaust covers did when I used Mr Surfacer on them. Not sure what the fix for that is.

I see that now. Hmmm, maybe some stray super glue and not the primer?

Great Job Charlie! I do see that mesh is a bit clogged up but it is not very noticeable. If it bothers you, you can always dry brush some steel then rust colors and it will just look like corrosion. Also you can always mud her up!
Pawel, that is an interesting kit I have never seen before. Looks neat!
I need some opinions on my .50cal mount. Does the MG mount seem to sit too high? I used a Tasca set for the extra detail. Here are some pics. I could shave off the little square on the kit piece and make the mount shorter but may be it is fine the way it is, Ive never built anything with an M2 before. Thank you for your feed back.

I applied a dot filter. This is my first time doing this.

Now for some pigments

Dustin, the filter looks good. What type (oil or water based) are you using?

Thank you! I used some extremely cheap oil paints from Walmart.

The dot filter turned out very nice. It also produces some "natural" streaking effect as you probably have already noticed. Looking good all around.

Thank you very much! I was nervous to try this, but it was so easy using the colors you recommended. It has a nice effect and it does have a streak effect.

Bryan, I think the mount looks fine. I wouldn't cut it down at all. Remember, the mount was ostensibly for AA purposes as well as ground fire. Picture the TC hunkers down in his hatch with the gun elevated to engage an aircraft and the height makes more sense.

Dustin: Are you sure the suspension could even move with that much mud on it?
