Good deal, ordered a few sets.
On a side note, you could also offer a set w/four rear cylinders and two front cylinders that would fit any other 6x6 military truck (M900 series 5-ton, FMTV, M54 series 5-ton, etc.) or civilian truck. I assume it would be a little cheaper and provide another option.

Thanks for the suggestion. It is a pretty simple conversion from an 8x8 set to a 6x6 set. It would be slightly cheaper but only by a couple cents. I'll get on it as soon as I get home.

You could sell SINCGARS Radio sets:
AN/VRC-87
AN/VRC-88
AN/VRC-90
AN/VRC-91
AN/VRC-92
Have the correct mounts, AMPS, and external speakers. Duplicate the amount of radios in ASIP and SINCGARS forms for the user to choose the generation.
If you have the information you could make the VIPER radio adapter for the AN/PRC-154A so it can mount in the SINCGARS mount.
You may want to develop the HMS AN/PRC-155 Radio with the AN/VRC-116 and 117 radio mounts.

I'll look into that. There's a new feature in Shapeways' makertplace that allows me to provide different variations. I can mark different versions as "Extra Small," "Small," "Medium," "Large," and "Extra Large." So different versions could correspond to the different "sizes." I could also use a "Sides" feature that allows for more variants but title's them as simply "dxx" (with xx being a number) so it could become confusing. But before I start adding the different versions I need to finish off and round out the various equipment and different mounts that goes with the SINCGARS system. Mounts like the MT-6576 and possibly the MX-10862. With earlier radio systems I'll also include the MX-18290. Yes there will be a RT-1439 set as well.
I've also looked into the VIPER radio system but I don't have enough to replicate it or the Sidewinder radio mount for the AN/PRC-154 Rifleman radio. I've also looked into the AN/VRC-
111 system but also couldn't find much useable reference to build off of.
I also recently found out that the image on the HEMTT brakes wasn't right so I fixed the render... again.

Do Marine units also employ the SINCGARS radios?
If so, does anyone have a shot of how they would mount in the Mk23 cab?

The USMC does use SINCGARS, all services do. No idea how it is mounted in a Mk23 MTVR though.

Just received my SINCGARS shipment from Shapeways!
Very pleased!
Here it is. I hit it with a little Tamiya primer to help it show up better in the photo.
The clearances on the radios and the rack mount are so precise that the fixed electrical connector plug on the rack mount actually plugs into the back of the radio when it is inserted into the rack!
WAY TO GO, Mike G!

Thank you. That plug on the back I actually just designed in to align the radios correctly. I though of it as though it could simply be removed if the top rack isn't being used. Unfortunately it wouldn't be "correct" as it is missing a small plug just below and to the left (the way we're looking at it) of the plug that's already there.

I should receive my SINCGARS today, can't wait to see them in person after how good they look in pics.
Any idea if there is an issue with the HEMTT Brake Cylinders? I ordered them at the same time as the SINCGARS (28 NOV) and they are still Processing w/a 3 in the Processing box.

I'm not sure if there's any problems with the brake cylinders. I haven't ordered them. If it's in the box next to the product image and name then I'm not sure what that means. I haven't received any emails saying whether or not there's been a problem.

Received the SINCGARS in the mail today. They do look great.
Here is a screen shot of what Shapeways shows on the HEMTT Brake Cylinders.

It might be that this is the third time they've had to put it through. I haven't gotten anything saying that it's unprintable so I think that it printed successfully once or twice before but somehow broke or was damaged during printing or in post-production.

I see what you mean that the pin in the back of the SINCGARS is for alignment purposes only.
My bad!

You may be right on the 3rd try. They are now listed as "In Production 3". Hopefully they are good this time.

The pin is for alignment but it's been positioned where an actual connector would be.
I hope so too, Gino.

Hey Mikey, would you be willing and able to do some wicker ammunition panniers? Specifically I am looking for the panniers for 21cm Morser shells from WWI, sort of like these:

Gino, I'm sending you a pm about the brake cylinders.
And I'm not sure I'd be able to do the panniers. There is one method in thinking of - making the individual stakes or weaves and patterning them up to get one vertical and then out and around in a circular pattern to get the entire vertical side. But I'm not sure how to get the angled top.

Thanks Mikey, don't worry about the angled tops, I am more interested in the open ended ones in the second pic, scaled to a 210mm ID in 1/35. I was looking around and found a few 3D models of wicker baskets on line , if you do a search you can find some downloads that could serve as a starting point. Once you have the basic model it would the. Just be a matter of scaling up or down for different calibre shells.

I can try it. But I'm not sure how it will come out.
I've also started work on a set of 1/35 DSLR cameras.

FYI a WWII era 4x5 Speed Graphic still camera, plus 16mm Eymo and 35mm B&H movie cameras with the 300' magazine and maybe a tripod would be more than nice! I do a combat photographer impression and I can provide plenty of reference photos on all three cameras and complete measurements on the Speed Graphic.
Believe it or not the large camera on the right (minus the flash gun) was the most common camera carried into combat in World War II. The flag raising on Iwo was taken on a camera like this. The newspapers demanded high quality photos for their news coverage and the film quality (meaning fine grain) was not what it is today. The large 4x4 negative was necessary to produce the quality required.

I own the still cameras so exact measurements there are no problem. The movie cameras belong to a buddy of mine so measurements of those are only 86 miles away.
Foot Note: The 300' aux film magazines are an optional accessory and can be removed from the movie cameras at any time. The movie cameras themselves have a 50' (less than a minute) internal capacity.
