From this recent post, it appears to be more of a put-it-together-yourself toy than a scale model.

Not sure if I can agree TBH, it looks a lot more like a Tamiya style engineering, certainly not Bronco level complexity but not oversimplified or toylike.
I'd get it even at a bad price

I agree with you there. I had the 1/16 M-ATV kit and ended up giving it away. It isn't anywhere near as nice as their 1/35 kits.
