Gray,
Those rear lights are just a thing of pure beauty!!
Not sure if this will help or not just had a look in my wwp books & on the right hand side as in how our cars are, the 55's in the book have two track tensioners, but couldn't get a clear view on the drivers side, but just checked the new takom kit of the 55 AMV & from the instructions looks like yours with only one on that side.

Ps but the takom kit is based on a Russian built version, so maybe differences there as well between the polish & Russian versions??

Thanks Karl.
Mike. I'm not aware of anvehicle built in teh factory as a T55 having twin idler adjustment mechanisms on either side.

Maybe the ones in your book are rebuilt T54s?
Meanwhile, the kit's headlight guard certainly needs to be redone. I used copper wire here bent to shape and soldered together...

Working to assemble the second fender - again constructed from Evergreen styrene. The two verticle strips on the hull sides are temporary to ensure correct alignment when the fender is cemented into place...

Fender attached to hull and new styrene bracket supports added. Beware that the Voyager brackets don't appear to be accurate - compared to the Bovington example at least...

Cheers Mike.
Front fender section from Voyager is added. Note that when fitting the underside support bracket (W35), Voyager have it fitted too far back. It should be at the leading edge directly below the hinge...
Onto the rear guard next - parts shown on the bench ready to go above.

It is a pure pleasure to watch this build! I follow it closely and the moment my T-55 conversion from legend arrives (the one for the yellow czech VT-55A) I will surely read it another time. Keep on building and posting.

Thank you Michael. The Legend kit is a fun build but does need a little TLC in places. Hopefully you'll blog it here
Front fender section completed with armour block and convoy lights etc...
Rear convoy lights and wiring have also been added and now time to start on the fuel tanks. The one on the right has been prepped in readiness for detaling...

The mounting brackets are made from Aber PE and 10amp fusewire soldered together. The 'threaded rod' will be trimmed down at a later date. The U brackets are attached to the fender supports with heat stretched sprue. Each end of the sprue 'pin' is then flattened with a heated blade to secure it in place. This means the assemblies can be fully articulated to suit when the fuel tanks are fitted...

Made a start on the pipework....
Pipes are simply brass rod with the joiners made from brass tube and the hose clamps from the Aber set. I use brass as everything can be easily soldered together.

Remaining pipework WIP....
All dry fitted with hose clamps yet to be added. Note the different layout due to the Enigma not having the 3rd tank fitted towards the front.

Thank you gentlemen
Bit of a leap forward here. I've decided to go with OMSh tracks on my VT-55 vehicle, so simply pinched the already made drive sprocket and Modelkasten RMSh tracks from that kit...
I have yet to add the 4 plates each side which prevent the track from 'slapping' the underside of the fenders.
