Great Wall apparently makes several variants of the Flak 43. This is the only Great Wall kit I've built, and in spite of the horrible instructions, the kit itself is highly detailed and fit is generally good--as long as you can figure out where the pieces are supposed to fit together. There are a few areas where construction seems almost impossibly complex (even without confusion from the instructions) and would have benefited from a few modest concessions in accuracy for the sake of buildability.

I dunno I found DML instructions sometimes confusing, but never seriously hindering. Their models were always incredible, however. They essentially brought a paradigm shift to armor modelling. They started to include the metal barrel, PE, individual tracks with their kits- for the same price or less than the 30 year old Tamiya offerings. I started my armor builds with the Flak88 which was $5 dollar less in the LHS than the Tamiya Flak.
In short: I don't get this hate. I admit I've not purchased anything from them lately (mostly doing 1/72 resin models), but what I did I loved. The PnzI A with interior, the PnzII with interior, the Panthers, Tiger Is (remember them? Incredible offerings)... all top-notch models. (In the same vein I don't get the Tamiya love, either. Except for the very few new toolings, inaccurate, simplified models that need fortunes in AM accessories to build. They are easy to build, that's for sure, though.)

Andras,
For my part, there's no hate involved. I love DML kits. I just wish they would put the same level of care into designing their instructions as they do their sprues.
