Bummer! I think I'm familiar with the lamp you speak of — it has a cheesy rolled rod that rotates in a plastic base. I've broken two of them so far!

Stay motivated.

That is a bummer - sorry to hear. For what it's worth, I damage at least one building or vehicle per project when I'm trying to take WIP pics....I hate the sound of plastic or resin crashing onto my concrete floors!! Wheels in particular tend to snap off and launch - all you can do is take it in stride...fix it and keep going -

Take care and have a better one -

It's all good man, no worries! I like how you've got a couple projects rollin at the same time. Kinda like "all the balls in the air".
Look frwd to your progress.

Sincerely, Dave

Jerry, that is a major bummer. I had the same sort of thing happen to me a few days ago. I'd finished an Sdkfz 7/2 with Flak 37 for the Tamiya campaign. I was really pleased with it as it was one of the best bits I've built for a while. For some reason (I'm waiting for an ECG one of my consultants booked the week before so I expect I'll find out eventually) I had a blackout, fell off my seat, hit the Ikea table it was on,which weighs a ton, but as I was dead weight toppled it over and crushed it and a Panzer II I'd finished between the table top and the living room door. I was more upset than angry because I should have put them away when they were done. I had a look at it last night and may be able to salvage it but the Flak 37 is FUBAR. Looks like a couple of 60lb rockets from a TYphoon have hit it. I feel your pain brother...Karl

It was certainly a bad day for the flak troops but the important thing is...ARE YOU OK ? Holy cow.

Well that's a bummer. But like has already been said, could be much worse. I guess this is one way to get back to other projects for a bit!

Sorry for the setback, Jerry. Nothing quite undermines creativity like being diverted from the end.

Hey Jerry, if it helps, been there, done that! Sounds like you will be able to salvage your work just like I salvaged mine. Take your time, do it right, and move all the lamps to the far edges of the work space!!!!

That's what I've done! Everything is hung from the ceiling or on a sturdy tripod, well away from my reach, and my desk, and models are safe.

I know you will recover from this brief and momentary " affliction", but look on the bright side, you get to work on your other projects!

Take care my friend.

Conor,Bill and Dave,
Thanks guys, for the words of condolences and encouragement. I appreciate it.
I will just put this one to the side until my bad karma feelings subside. I will get back to it as I really wanted to build this concept for a while now, ever since reading the great book about the 7th tank company in LAH. It is filled with personal anecdotes, which I always like in a history book.
