Magachon project was cancelled due to lack of budget and interest, not because the Shot-Cal versions were superior.

Thanks for the correction, Michael. Do you have any more info about the Magachon project to share with us? I couldn't find much more except for the picture I've uploaded. This T-34 was used as static artillery position along the Jordan river. The crew would access the turret through the hatch cut in the rear plate via the (removed) engine compartment.

The use of the "Doghouse" variant of the "Nagmachon" is historically incorrect, since Israel pulled out of Lebanon in May 2000, while the "Doghouse" only appeared in 2002. I'ts a quiet good movie though...

Not far behind (if at all...) on my all-time favorite AFV list is the uber-mean looking "Nagmachon Doghouse".

A few more new pictures of the "Merkava II" based "Ofek" HAPC, developed for the use of Command/Ordnance/Medical troops.

That's a lot of firepower! (At least) a Battalion-sized exercise of "Merkava III's" on the Golan-Heights.
