because I've always wondered what this area of the "Fitters" vehicle looked like,

It appears that the rear bins are both top and front opening. Other points to note, the position of the front and rear lights, and the tow cable on the rear engine deck.

Nice, Gary

Israelis used the Lance missile, too... who knew?

and, isn't Dragon kitting this vehicle this year?

Yes they are and Israel never used them in anykind of combat. There was plans to deploy them in '82 during the invasion of Lebanon but those plans were canceled.

Kylie, are you aware that many of the pictures you upload are re-posts than can be seen on earlier pages of this thread?

In my defense, I've been awake for almost two days, & haven't seen every page of this tread.

One of the biggest oddities of this thread: IDF's rather mysterious light tank project from the early 2000's. Unfortunately not much info is available, apart from that the running gear was torsion-bar based and the radiators of the rather large front-mounted "Achzarit" engine were placed under the fighting compartment. Hopefully Mr.Michael Mass will contribute... (source: "Yehiam" book, p. 84-85, credit to Kylie Newton for drawing my attention to this vehicle)
