Thanks Ivar.
I'm going to break them down into 2 posts.
from here on one will be "compound" and the other "traffic cops".
Bill,I wish I could remember. In my early days I did some very large dios.Unfortunately as time went on I had to bite the bullet and get rid of some. The fountain was part of one.I took everything off of them that I thought I may use later.
Anyway here's an update on the buildings.
Added trim, stir sticks, cork,Evergreen siding and did the window frames.
Thanks for looking,I was pretty sure there was no interest my post.

They both look like you have a good start and direction for them. I like your use of multiple materials in the building's construction. And the colours you've blocked out so far Tom.
A great beginning.
Two on the go at the same time would really overwhelm me, I can't even seem to get time to get back on the one diorama I'm currently building.
Good luck with both!

Thanks Tim,
I really prefer to make my own buildings and groundwork.
Besides being a lot cheaper and less aggravating ,you get more satisfaction on the build.
Anyway, some better pics than yesterday. After all your Tamiya barrier jokes,I should have known better Jerry.
Not sure of a time and really haven't totally decided on what force and vehicles. To be safe I would say around '43?
Need to get the inside finished,
windows painted and glass installed.

Oookay, so that would be during the still-classified covert British invasion of France over 6 months before D-Day?
Looks great anyway, glass will always makes it even better.

This is turning into a really nice build. Love the ivy crawling up the side of the building. The buildings look really good. I wish I had the imagination to do my own. One thing that is bugging me though is the half floor with ladder. If half the floor had collapsed for whatever reason, fire, explosion, there'd be some remains of it ie wooden beams and planks or if it was concrete some rebar sticking out of the wall. There wouldn't be a clean break as there is. Apart from that great work. You appear to model the same as me. Build things and then decide on a diorama to accomodate them later lol.Really nice work Tom.

Hi guys,
Been a while.I have a bad habit of jumping back and forth from builds.Yes Karl,I do it all the time.I have shelves of vehicles in my mind for dios.Been working on the new Tamiya M-40,with 8 figs it's a dio waiting to happen. In the beginning of this I wasn't going to do an interior and cut the windows with that in mind. After deciding to do it the third floor would have been been too high for the side windows,so I made it into a loft.
Here's a short update.Been working on the interior, tank riders stowage.
Tom .
