So I have this Universal Carrier sitting in the workshop for years. I built it when I 1st got back into the hobby before joining this site
As you can tell over the years it has taken some damage. So for this campaign I would like to attempt to replicate this photo of Battle Damage
So what do you all think does this work here???

Looks like prime damage material, Sal! Good choice!

Looks like a great idea Sal! It looks like it either hit a mine or an I.E.D., is this in Europe somewhere Sal? Any info regarding what happened?

I just did a Google search for Universal Carrier wrecks and that photo came up the caption say A knocked-out Universal carrier in the factory area of Caen, 19 July 1944

A factory area could well mean a mine....just guessing...

Hey Guys being that this kicked off at the start of the month I started to get some work done on my base.
I took the top of a cookie tin and filled it with Styrofoam
I have since covered it with Spackle to start forming the dirt in the phone that I posted
PS you need to get the admin to remove the word Proposal from the title being that this is an official campaign now.

This one snuck up on me.
I haven't even decided on a subject yet. I think I have a KV or Teapot I might "damagificate" for the masses. Now I I just have to find a picture I like.

Hey,
I'd like to join with the Zvezda 1:35 GAZ M1 Soviet car. It will have a caved in roof from fallen debris from a destroyed city building somewhere in the Soviet Union in 1941.
The vehicle isn't military but the damage will be sustained in battle. Would his work?
The only photo I have is the one in my mind's eye at the moment. I'll see if I can find something online to share however.
Cheers
Matthew

Here are my start up photos courtesy of IMGUR. I used to use Photobucket, which seems to still work for me, but whatever, let’s give IMGUR a go. I’ve got to step 2 or possibly 3 or 4 in the instructions. Hope this is still good for this campaign. Here are the pics.
I used the "message boards and blogs" image link on IMGUR. Hope it works.
cheers

So I made some progress on my universal carrier damage completed and old markings stripped off
New Markings have been added and ground work is complete
Now I need to do some weathering to the carrier

The base is made from the top of a cookie tin turned upside down. I stuffed it with Styrofoam and covered it with wall Spackle. I then used cheap craft store acrylic brown paint. Once that dried i brushed on some watered down white glue and coated it with a mix of a fine red brown and black ballast. When that was dry i sprayed it with some spray on glue and sprinkled it with a mix Woodlands Turf that had some wood splinters in it

Nice (damaged) looking Bren gun carrier, Sal. Base looks neat too.
Quick update on the GAZ soviet car….
Nice kit to build so far. Don’t usually do cars but I need this one for a diorama that will come to fruition in about… oooh, three years.
Cheers
