Thanks Jerry,
It is going to be a tight squeeze and I think it may work if I drop the flak 38t. The flak is small enough to possibly fit in a corner.
Once all the vehicles are made and positioned on the base will give me a fair indication and it's a check and see what works in a balanced view.

Thanks Tim,
Apologies for the late reply have been head down with the track links.
Each track link has been detailed. The links will also have a earth substance from Tamiya or Vellajo to give the appearance of travelling through soft soil.
Here is the next Update

Mig ammo red base over Black primer

Mig ammo red primer and creamweiss for the upper hull.

Dark wash applied around recesses of the lower hull

Removing all the raised sections from each individual track link.

Painting each individual track link
Mig Ammo track colour highlighted with Ammo steel and Gunze silver for the extra wear on the track

Lower Hull ready for running gear and track to be glued on

Thanks Colin Keith and Rob
Colin,
The Tamiya field Kitchen falls together. It's the Riitch models Field kitchen which is the hardest of the 2.
Keith,
The Famo will be ok by itself. With the trailer it is a challenge, good luck if you want to torture yourself with the Famo![]()
Rob,
Even in the retiree world you can find too much modelling can be a little tiring. I found when I was in between jobs spending 4-6 hours in the chair modelling was too much and needed a break. walk away and come back to it.

Oops,I screwed that " Reply & quote" up ! I wanted to say that what You said to Rob is So true.I've been retired for a few years now [ & even before that ] , I have had to take breaks from burnout sveral times over the years. As much as I love modelling,if You do it a few hours daily ,it morphs from a hobby to work. After a Sabbatical,You start to miss it.Sometimes, just diverting from Military to doing a Muscle car or M.C. kit is enough to back back to it. And Yes,Michael,Thanks for the heads up on the FAMO,Trailer & all.Being a Model Masochist I will build one eventually. Can The tractor & trailer haul a FAMO tractor ? That'd be a humerous Dio ! The Blitz radio van looks first rate!
Might I ask; from whom did you get the AM rooftop cargo load?

Thanks Guys,
Michael,
The aftermarket set comes from Blackdog.
The set is for the Roden bus.
With a little modification to the base of the resin makes it perfect for the radio van.

Ha Ha thanks Tim,
Apologies for the late reply head down with 88mm rounds.
Appreciate your words and hopefully with the next installment of images we make the build/builds more interesting.

All the 88mm rounds have been detailed and glued into position in the turret and lower hull. Been a long time to get to this stage.
The kit is taking shape, a real tribute to Takom with the immense detail in this kit.

Shedding a silent tear here for the interior...I guess you’ve already gone through every argument for not gluing it all down?

Thanks Tim,
It is a shame that it has to be all glued together
With the king tiger on the diorama with the engine hanging out the back it will all be forgotten about. There will be other vehicles and figures beside the king tiger and I think it will be consumed with the overall appearance, Who knows there may be a camo net raised over the front that may distract the view inside

Here is another small update on progress on the King tiger.
Both the turret and hull are glued together, the the voyager fenders are next and the painting begins. :yipee

The parts below are going to be painted separately and then glued onto the hull once intricate detailing is done.
All the hatch's will be covered up with Tamiya tape before and painting begins.
At the moment I have left the barrel and sleeve unglued, they will be painted and detailed individually and then glued in place.

Hi Dave,
Thanks for your words, sorry for the late reply as I have been head down with the photo etch for the side skirts.
There has been some difficulty in the front fender etch bonding to the plastic fender.
The etch fender is finally on and progress photo's will follow shortly.
I was surprised to see that Voyager did not give the front and rear fenders in the etch set.

Hello again,
Next installment of images, Voyager etch fenders are on
The 3 front quarter fender brackets are not included in the etch set and had to be robbed from another etch set.
I could have scratch built the brackets but decided that it was easier and quick to put on from a back up Aber set.
