Glad to see the Lee/Grants coming. The KT tracks will depend on the price and execution, but Friuls continue to skyrocket in cost.

The Lee and Grant could get me back into WW2 modeling. Lets hope the foundry/cast markings are accurate.

Yes, it does. It was inspired by Revell's similar product: https://www.scalemates.com/kits/143849-revell-5433-ghost-ship

They are going to put out a color corrected version of the Lee on their Facebook account later today. That photo was not correct, etc.

Finally I can replace those rubber bands that came with the earlier kits. Can't remember off the top of my head what Academy came with.

The Academy Lee and Grant came with same T51 track as is in their Shermans. Which makes it way oversized for a Lee. I had to remove a good 4-5 links and it's still loose. I was going to swap out the We210 tracks for the Grant but with this I might hold off. Plenty of different configurations of Lee and Grant for me to add these to what I already have.
I am sure these will top the Academy kits but will they top the still slightly superior IMHO 1/32 Airfix?

Hurray for Takom! Especially as they'll have link and length tracks instead of those orrible rubber band efforts.
Wonder if they'll do a Sherman line too?

Until companies start supplying an in scale little Joe wrench and working tension adjusting screws I'll live with rubber band track.
I did it enough in 1/1, I don't want to do it in scale if I don't have too.

I wouldn't generalize, as AFV Club has some rather excellent rubber bands.

The Asuka/Tasca M4 Series has an adjustable idler axle. I think the newer DML has it too (I seem to recall this on their M7 Priest)

Israel there's no such thing as excellent rubber band tracks.
Trust me....I'm a world renowned expert on the subject.

??? What difference would that make? The short hull M3 and M4 series used the same number of track blocks and could use the same track types.

I agree avenue, the Academy M3 Lee is a great kit. Don't know if'n I'm gonna sell the one in my stash cause Takom has a newer kit. There'd have to be some major improvements for me to "upgrade" to the more expensive offering.

So does Dragon Pzkpfw III and even the Mirage T-26 series. But I find it tedious and too much like work for what is supposed to be a fun pastime.
I like link and length the most. But that's my preference based on my experience. I broke real track and set tension and did hours of maintenance on the real thing. I don't like being reminded of that when model building.
