Looking great and those light guards came out looking very nice. Question, are there wipers for those big front windows? I assume you going to add them at the last minute to prevent breakage.

I started the frame for the Missile .
There's a lot of clean up on these parts.
The instructions are slightly vague on exactly where the parts go.

Some more assembled.
Both sides of the hold down clamps have to be assembled on the frame, they are movable so be careful with the glue.
In the closed position

I have the Missile assembled and puttied I had to cut off the pins as there was too big a step between the halves .
Be shure to install the engine exhaust nozel when joining the halves together.
The detailing is a combination of raised and engraved panel lines.
The metal pins from the base don't line up too good with the holes in the traling edge of the missle fins.
That's why I glued the missile to the base.
Of course I could have screwed up on installing the fins.

It's really coming along nicely. Looking foreward to see the SCUD mounted on the vehicle.

The hinge pin is inserted from the inside like so.
It should look like this.
Here it is test fitted to the Hull.

The two parts that attach the upper parts of the raising pistons don't fit together.
Here is how I fixed them, simply carve off part of the receptor for the pin until it fits.
It should look like so.
I'm using the ones to have the Missile in the lowered position, The kit gives you the parts to place it in the raised position, but then you need all the Hoses and other plumbing that attach to the end of the Missile.
I'm finished for now.

Here's the one from Jacques Littlefield's collection. Apparently he had some trouble getting it into the country and eventually had to use his connections to point out to Customs that the missile was entirely empty, inert and non-functional. It seems that having hundreds of millions of dollars makes a lot of things possible, or at least easier, LOL.

Here is how I installed the Missile Cradel to the Hull.
First glue the lower hydralic parts to the hull like so.
Next install the upper parts to the Cradle like so.

The Missile can be positioned in the launch position with the Cradle lowered.
I'm not using this position as there aren't any Fueling hoses or other detail that should connect the end of the Missile to the Vehicle.
More to come later.
