I'm also interested. I picked that one up and put it back on the store shelf a number of times.

Well here is the start, the bottom hull went together without problems except fore there being 4 less hub caps with the correct number. There are extra on one of the other sprue they just have a different number on them. The lower hull has a slight twist to it, so make sure all the wheel mounts line up and are even.

The other side.

Here are the Wheels, the sprue is marked for Trumpeters IS4 .

I'll be working on the interior of the lower hull next.
That's all for now.

I have the lower part of the interior finished.
You need to install the floor first before the small parts to the side walls.

The small parts attach to the sides into the square holes that will need filling on the outside later.

These most likely will need filling.

I'm finished for today, I'll have more later.
I'm quite busy with the construction of a new house and I don't have a lot of spare time right now.

The tracks are ready to assemble, they are handed so you need to be careful which side you use them on and not to mix them together.

Next to assemble and paint them.
I'm finished for now.

Here are pictures of my interior. I can never get Photo Bucket to work so the link is through Facebook. Sorry. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10212460276295131&set=pcb.1708592175817433&type=3&theater

Also Trumpeter does include a jig to help keep the suspension arms even. With the twist it may still have helped.

Really great build so far.
Do you have any more info on your track assembly gig?

It's just 2 pieces of 1/4" tubing soldered together with a 1/16" gap between them. They are joined together with some thin strips
You can solder the strips any distance to suite the thickness of the guide horn of the track.

I have made them in a various of sizes, this is a relatively in expensive jig to make.
Regards.

Nice job on the track.I usually leave the outer support rolle half off, and add it,after the track is installed. On a pair of T62's, I shortened the axle for the sprocket, to get it to slip on better.
