Thank you Tim and Cheyenne. Thanks for following. I haven't had much time to work on the project lately. This weekend I will work on it for a bit.
Can anyone suggest how to make a steel rolling shutter? I have a couple of ideas but maybe there is a simpler way out there.

If the shutter is going to be closed then just use a piece of plastic card. I would use a scribing tool and cut the horizontal lines in it to the right depth. Clean up the edges and paint.

I think a lot depends on the type of steel roller look you want and open or close.
Jerry's idea would work.
A second option is what Nick did. Looks like a sheet of plastic and smaller strips to give the rolled effect.

A third option is a more corrugated look which this might make your life easier.

Thank you Jerry and Ryan. I think I am going to go with a homemade version of the corr-u-gator, and go to the arts and crafts store to get some metal sheets for embossing. I want to get a damaged look on the shutters. Something like this:

I wouldn't think a homemade version would be too hard to make for thin metal sheets. Don't know if the thin metal can handle the extra wear for battle damage. Might be a case of making the holes first then embossing the sheet. Interested to see how this turns out.
Late find...K+S has premade corrugated sheets. 16134 might be the best option. As HO = 1/87 and O = 1/48.

Thank you Ryan. lets see how my attempt works out. If it does not, Ksmetals could be an option. Thanks

Strange coincidences, I’m playing with this kind of metalwork right now too – looks great although I’d just query the holes – assuming they’re entry holes the metal around the hole could a bit more concave? Yours almost look like exit holes…from inside the garage? Whatever, excellent work

Thank you Martin. Actually I did the holes from the "outside" to the "inside".
I primed the shutter and you can see it better. Here are some closeups:

Did a couple of filters on the inside to give it a more aged look. Added tile to the upper floor, and painted the rolling shutter a base color of dark steel gray/rust brown to do chipping with the next coat of color. Also started building window shutters.

Good to see someone else back in the saddle Marcos, it’s been a lonely ride recently. Great progress, very distressing, but even better that it’s restrained too. Love that door handle – is the key on the other side?

The floor tiles on the damaged upper floor really take it up a notch I think,

Very nice flooring & details –I’d suggest the breaks in the floor are a bit too neat though, some of the rubble piled up around them might look better resting in the metal rebar that’s holding it together – & heaps more dust/fragments over everything. Excellent work, I’m sure it hasn’t been easy...& I’m still looking for the key to that door

Thank you Tim. I still have a lot of work ahead. Much more debris, and haven't even started with pigments. I still have to define how big the base will be, etc. Just finnished an A/C unit. I have been away from home so not much time to work on the dio. And I guess I will have to make a key for that door!
