For me this year's plan is simple, no new kits. Time to work on the shelf queens, starting with anything I got as a gift and haven't finished. That of course is barring someone putting out a M777 in 1/35. What's yours?

Well, I've got a plan like that too. Almost 2 dozen hanger queens, a couple of dry dock projects, plenty of garage queens and too many in the stash. I figure my resolve will hold until at least the third week of January.

Dont worry too much about the stash. Good plastic isnt going to spoil, neither are the other goodies.

My plan is the same: finish more kits in the stash to make room for new ones! No buying kits until I make significant headway in the stash.

My plan is to keep chugging along on the stash and buy next to no new kits.

I also picked up some artists oils and will try using them as an alternative to Mig and AK products...

My plan will follow the same tried and tested formula as all my other plans: I'll carefully think it through to the last detail, plan a list of the stuff I need and want aaand then I'll do something completely opposite to what I'm supposed to be doing... Cunning!

Given I achieved almost diddly-squat against my 2017 plan,my 2018 plan will be to finish ANYTHING ...before even thinking about starting something new...

My problem now is that I have to many BUILT kits and no shelf room for anything else! I have pulled a few old builds off the shelf and may try to bundle them up on E-bay. Then I will be able to build some more!!

My girlfriend already gave me my plan. No new kits. Build/fix old kits before going to get more kits out of storage. Although the Scammel transporter and Meng (?) Pantherstellung and Trumpeter Triebwagen 51 are tempting!! But last time I checked my stash manager it was approaching 900..so fair point to the better half!

Clear 75% of the projects on the bench (3 of 4) before starting anything new; at least that's the plan

I plan to continue my build rate of one every 6-8 weeks. Plan to add four Panzer IV's to the pile. Need an Ausf. E, F1, F2, and G to complete my A-J family.

Again, It comes down to a matter of space for finished kits. I personally don't do shelf queens, its like having tooth-ache to leave a model unfinished so I don't do it. In a way I count that as a good thing otherwise I`d just production line the damned things, with a stash of around three hundred unbuilt kits my cross to bear is that I have to have all the kits of a particular vehicle. At the moment its all about 1/32nd scale Mustangs - I have Hobbycraft's A-36 and P-51 "North Africa", Trumpeter`s P-51B and D and currently looking to purchase Revell`s new tooling early P-51D. This includes all the resin and etch upgrades for each kit.
I look at my bank statements and wonder if I sponsor their Xmas party each year.

I resolved to get back to building, and eventually finishing kits next year. Just finished one kit early this year. As I write, I have several unfinished builds that will miss the campaign deadlines this year. Somehow I lost the drive in the last several months. Not that I didn't have time for it, simply wasn't up to it, I guess. On the other hand, me buying kits this year didn't stop, LOL. Cheers to all for the coming new year!

You all know , just lying to yourself here LOL
Once that Tax check comes around, another 5 kits added to the stash, will be what most do.
Then the AVLB by Dragon will be out , another one added to the stash.
Then that new can't live out it kit from Meng,Trumpeter,Takom, AFV Club,Tamiya , and by mid year 20 kits added to the stash, and not one finished.
That is the way I see it.
Me well will try and do 2 kits, and finish the M-110 sometime before the sun sets on 2018.

And Mark from India we need pics of these one every 6 to 8 week builds, not saying trying to pull the wool or nothing just saying, LOL

Cheers

Plan for 2018? Simple, I have no plan; every time I make a plan something always comes along and throws a monkey wrench into it and I spend days punting backsides. Now I just wing it, do the 1:1 stuff that keeps SWMBO happy and work on my stuff every afternoon for a couple hours until supper. Boss is happy and I'm safe in my fortress of solitude (and she doesn't complain about the size of the stash either, the lady is a saint!).

Here's the plan:
Finish Zvezda Panther D
Shelf queen
Start M109 shop van conversion
Shelf queen
More work, on M109
Shelf queen
M109
Shelf queen
Finish M109
Finish last shelf queen
That should fill out the year, easily.

Like everyone else, i plan on reducing the contents of the Shelf-of-Shame. And start some new kits as well. My plans are ambitious and will likely not work out like i envision them. But i know i'll at least have fun

Pretty much taking a bit from all opinions/statements/responses made here that pretty much describes me and this hobby.

Still little or no building time,

Mortality vs. stash total,

Financially secured to the point I can order anything I want, and do,

Constantly unsatisfied with basic kit without modifying it in some way, shape or form,

Buying/replacing (new technology) than I sell (old technology), and that includes aftermarket,

Little or no display room,

Over time my preference has turned to assembly line building, building 3, 4 or even 5 kits at the same time. What got me there is the constant getting out/putting away and cleaning of materials/paints/airbrush, which started turning me off to modeling at a high pace yet faced with non building chores at every turn...

Am I a procrastinator? Perhaps, but that's part of the hobby...and I'll deal with that later...

I could go on and on, but why?

I'll just plug along and punish myself deliciously with my 1/35 life! LOL
