I'm about to submit a proposal for the 2019 version of this campaign but I am thinking of renaming it to something more Armorama-related, like "Motorpool Queens". Any opinions? Better names?

Gary - No opinion about the name, both would work for me.

I do have a late entry for this year. I have a Hobby Boss Soviet T-50 that I started two years ago for the 750 piece campaign. I blew that deadline but the leader let me join the 500 piece campaign and I blew that deadline too! Talk about bad time management!

Well, now its time to finish this long delayed project. Below are two pics showing where things were two days ago.

I finished up my Tiger about a month ago but only recently found time to take some pictures. I'm a bit disappointed with the quality of the pictures and might take some more in better light.

I think eMan is the Master of last minute campaign finishes!

Nice finish on the Tiger I, Dudley. Hope you can get the images into the campaign gallery.

Howdy Y'all
I probably will not finish in time. I'm having problems with the gloss coat. It's freezing weather here so the gloss coat is drying very slowly out in the garage. My family might kill me if they smell the vapor from the lacquer gloss coat, as I'm using Testor's rattle can Gloss.
With Christmas celebration and going to work, I probably won't get 'er done. I'm still going to work on getting a gloss coat finished today.
Hopefully I'll be finishing it in 2019's campaign.
Take care,
Don "Lakota"

Sounds perhaps a little risqué~? Whatever the campaign is named, I'm in.
I couldn't come up with anything that is much better. With the "Wall" in the news, I thought of "Over the Wall" and then some other that were just as bad: Finish Line, Breaking Through the Wall, Motor Pool Call-up, Roll 'em Out. You get the idea.
Like I said, I'm in no matter what it's named. This past year was supposed to be the year to move out some Shelf Queens. Maybe next year I'll have better luck.
Take care,
Don "Lakota"

I guess we will keep the current name.

Here is a progress photo of my build.

Every time I look at it, I see a spot that wasn't covered in paint! I need batteries in my magnifier to get better light.
==================================

Dudley,
Click on one of your pictures on Imgur. Right click on it and select Copy. Then paste into your campaign message thread. You will get the URL of that image.

Put "< img src=" in front of the URL then put "/>" in back. Leave out the blank between the < and img. I had to do that to keep the database from thinking it was an HTML image tag.

Finally, after two years the Soviet T-50 is finished! My reference material on this tank was thin so I had to make some guesses about how to finish the model.

I found no photos showing any tools attached to a T-50 in Soviet service. The kit came with none and I can only speculate that the tank was rushed from factory to the battlefield with none. They really had no time to work these vehicles up to full service levels, production only started just as the Germans invaded.

I also had to guess at what the dirt might have looked like in the areas this tank travelled to see its service. I used the lack of knowledge as an opportunity to mix pigments to indicated several areas and try to blend them together in places. I started with a painted layers of brown to suggest a thin layer of mud and then layered the pigments on top of that.

I like this tank, it was very modern for 1941 and it might have been a major production item with a little different timing.

Snuck the Merkava in under the wire. But don't worry, this is the last one for the year.

Warts and all, a 15 yr WIP Academy Merkava 2 pretty well out of the box.
With the exception of the home made tow cables. I'm pretty happy with the cables, twisted copper headphone wire in the vise with a cordless screwdriver. Painted Tamiya dark iron (this leaves the upper edges with a copper sheen still) then a very thin layer of Tamiya Buff thinned at about 50%, then a dark wash to cut the last of the shine.

And the first one into the new display case.

Thanks for another good one Gary. See you next year. My vote is to keep the same name but I'm here none the less.

Sadly, I won't finish. Instead of working on the Kettenkrad, I've been reinstalling Windows, over and over. So that makes me 0 for 4 for 2018 campaigns.

One more day!

I noticed that the campaign disappeared from both my list and the main list of campaigns. All that shows up for unfinished business is the 2019 version.

Anyway, just finished my Dragon Stug III C/D weathering test bed that's been languishing for two years on the shelf. Most of my weathering skills date back to 2003, so this was a chance to really push myself into using more modern techniques. Also my first completed build since 2003.

Hi all,
I intended to complete two unfinished kits before. But there is only one reaching to the deadline. A half of the ribbon.

Thank you all for this great campaign.
Cheers,
K.

Nice finishes Ken and Mr K!!
Ken, old shef queens make the most satisfying finishes for sure!
Mr K, great fading/streaking on the exterior. White is always hard for me to 'weather'. How'd you do yours?

See you all in 2019.

Need to put a pic in the campaign gallery.

I will give the list of finishers to Nito74 tomorrow so he can award the ribbon (since I am not the official manager of this campaign).

What is it you are building? It looks amphibious . . .
