Unfortunately, nobody really does a dedicated set of 14th Army figures. British or Indian would be great. I usually kitbash mine--you can use the Dragon set of British troops in the Mediterranean as some of them are in long pants, wearing the lightweight tropical uniform. Just paint it jungle green. You'd have to find some long-pants legs, but it's doable. Even USMC legs with US leggings could work (I've seen photos of that).

IMC 35563 set has the tropical kit, SMLE MkIIIs, a Thompson with drum mag, kukris. Shorts and light shirt. And two Aussie slouch hats.

Went to ShopRite this morning and spent a half hour looking for toilet paper with just the right pattern for the trunk .
I used Liquertex [ spelt that wrong ] varnish and applied pieces of tp hoping for a good texture .
Screwed up some pieces of tp with the pattern going in the wrong direction but hey that will just have to get some moss and vines and such .

Fighting in a temple? Blasphemy!!! No wonder Japan lost the war. They insulted the Gods.

Keep in mind, however: If this is Burma, there wouldn't be any Aussies. They were all quite busy in New Guinea, Borneo, etc.

General William Slims 14th army served in Burma and was comprised of British , Australian , Canadian , S. African , Burmese , Chinese , Africans and Indian troops .

Did you preserve them? if not they will dry completly and loose there color and will easely break of when handeling.
If you go for the agent orange look it will be fine
You can preserve foliage with Glycerin.

There's lots of Marines and Japanese figs out there , would love to see you morph some of them . Yes I know you did a beauty Wake island build but ya just gotta run through the jungle .............

Maarten , thanks man , the tree branch is Juniper root picked locally around ten years ago , not preserved , still pliable and bendy and doesn't break . I've got boxes of Juniper root , best medium for deciduous tree making I've found . The green branches on the Juniper root , also years old , were treated with Liquitex acrylic medium varnish years ago , then just recently painted green for this build . The green frondy jungley bush like thingie was made with real leaves that I preserved years ago [ Liquitex ] and just recently painted green . Don't remember from what kind of tree .
I have a bad habit of saving things like roots and leaves and such , I found boxes of these in the garage from about ten years ago and bingo , they've finally come in handy .


Also a special shout out to the LLWS regional play offs I'm watching them while I build . I was one hell of a baller when I was young .

At least the uniform wouldn’t be too much of a problem

The set has 4 Sihk heads and 8 bare heads that need helmets. 4 Gurkha knifes are included. You can make 4 figures of either British, Sihk, Polish or Gurkha troopers. Or any combo you want. The only diffetence between the Brits and Poles would be the shoulder patch designating the troopers counrty of origin. The rest of the equipment is standard battle dress.

On the figure front this one might help. Called Commonwealth Soldier, Burma 1943 he's by Dog Tag (WZ3501). Really nice pose, bush hat and machete. Too bad that I had to lose the last two for a British officer on my Italian dio...
