Hi gents!!
It has been a long time since my last post. Iīve been under treatment for depression and I left modelling aside. I was focused on airsoft instead. BUt now Iīve retaken modelling and Iīm now working on a small vignette, something easy to make. It would be a shooting range with some spectators.
Here is the stuff Iīm going to use:
From Aliexpress

From Legend productions, our friend Rob Skipper:

The base is made from a piece of porexpan and bog roll mixed with white glue. Some primer and a black base.

Thatīs all for now. Iīm working on one figure. The base would be made at intervals, no hurries.
Great to be back againg. My best regards!!!
Nacho.

Nacho this looks great already, a unique idea. And thanks for jumping back into it!
I can relate, and all the respect in the world man for your sincerity. Sometimes jumping back in is the best thing, even if we're "not" ready or not.

Again, thanks for your words and for watching the post. Iīll post updates as soon as I can.

From Aliexpress? Is this a genuine and original Assault Models figure or a cheap chinese pirated copy?

I'm not sure if you are aware how much cheap pirated copies hurt this hobby. Illegaly taking products from figure companies, recasting and selling them is an offence and should be prossecuted. What we can do is support the companies and refuse to buy fakes, no matter how cheap these are.
Assault Models owner is a friend and I know how much of his time and energy (and money) goes into each of his figures. Pirates are hurting the process immensly and buying cheap figures from China is a slow but steady way for small model companies to close the business.
So, please buy from the company or reputed dealers, not from Aliexpress. I'm sure you had no idea about this particular figure being an illagal copy, but keep your eyes open for deals which are too good to be true. This usually means the figure is a copy.

Mario, I didnīt even know about Assault Models. I didnīt know that brand. I saw that figure on AE and I though it was an own design of them.
Iīm very aware of the hurt that copies make to the hobby. In fact I also have a friend with a modelling store here in Madrid. Be sure that if I would have known about Assault Models, I would have bought the figure there. And now that I have seen their online catalogue, I definitely would, they have very cool figures.
Thanks for the info, Mario

Good morning gents.
As I told to Dave, I have made some progress. In a previous post I said I was going to work on the figures, but I have changed my mind and Iīm working on the base. Iīm building a fence between the shooter and the spectators.
I took a copper rod and I made the structure soldering with tin.

Next step is to make a barbed wire for the upper side. I took a wire and made the spikes.

And this is the result:

Now I have to roll it up and solder it on the fence.
Thatīs all for now. Have a nice week!!
