I remain skeptical the Germans could have projected the men and materiel sufficient to whip the Brits across the Channel, but remember how many men invaded the Soviet Union: 3.8 million. That's more men than the British had under arms throughout the entire war. So the question is whether the Nazis could have gotten that many men across the English Channel.
Given all the variables, I remain skeptical, but I like the discussion.
