Howdy Y'all
Found my Sherman, kind of wish I never bought it. It's a 1/32 Revell re-release of the Monogram kit best I can tell. It ain't pretty and it won't win any contests. But hey, this is for fun, right?
Also found a US Tank crew by Verlinden. They are metal so if I use the driver I'll need to find a pretty stout way to hold him in place. Probably will just use the commander figure if it is approved. I don't know when this Verlinden set came out but I hope it'll be acceptable.
Take care,
Don "Lakota"

Well, poop. Got my Crusader today and the top half of the turret is missing from the sealed bag.

I don't know if anything else is missing, because I stopped looking.
I hate having to return stuff, especially to eBay.

Hi Don, yes indeed. That's what it's all about!
As for figures that is a bit of a grey area. Personally I do not consider those to be after market, where some might see it otherwise.
So I am willing to accept those but the same rules apply; older then 25 years. Since yours are Verlinden and metal.... Those must be antique! Never even knew they had metal??

I know it's been discussed, but somewhere in the mix I missed it. What are the start/end dates going to be?

Well, that gives me plenty of time to gather up my state-of-the-art AM parts, SP-style - that's gravel from the street, used tea leaves, and a gallon of putty for surgery on them old Monogram army men!
Got a great dio for the M48 in mind, but need to sketch it out so's I don't forget by New Year...

Oh yeah! I'm definitely in!

I do not know what the problem is, but if the campaign isn't up and running in a week, than I will cancel the whole thing.
It's been almost 2 months now and I will not sit, wait and beg any longer.
Sorry.

So if this campaign is actually going on and runs from January 1 2020 until August 15 2020, then I'm in with an Airfix 1/32 M3 Grant. I can't promise to use paint from that era, but I can use a stack of references that are from the 1970s.
Cheers,
Scott

Yeah, there's only one maybe two people that voluntarily put their time in on doing stuff for the website so it takes a while sometimes.
You must have patience, Grasshopper!

Hi Rob, please define "some time"... I think 2 months is quite "some time". It used to be mere days, before I took my brake from the modelling world and this forum. Maybe I have too high expectations, because of that?

Nope, they have a staff of almost a dozen people, but agreed, only one that appears to be in charge of the campaigns.... which appear to be not too many, judging by the current list. But true, life does more often than not get in the way, however in that case things should be handed over and no commitments should be made that it'll only take a few more days, if these can not be kept. Or, if it is the case, inform people on developments. It isn't just about patience.
