Nate! Wow! It looks like all's well that ends well. Glad the turret fix was simple. The grouping of figures is going to really work well with the scene you have in mind. That's a lot of work on each of them. Rutman-esque in scale and effort. good job conveying movement and action. Looking forward to the next posts.

What a brilliant thread! I'm thoroughly enjoying following your really great in-depth research.
I'm also very interested in the battless around Caen and am learning a lot from this thread.

Thanks Dave! It was very simple, luckily the glue hadn't eaten too deep into the turret roof! I really appreciate the comments, I'm a huge fan-boy of Jerry's so that's great to hear.

Thanks Mike and Erwin! I'm doing my very best, but we will see when the figure painting starts. It's my biggest trouble spot in modelling, so it's going to be tough.

Thanks Mike! It will 100% be at the next MOSS CON. It sucks it got cancelled this year, but, this dio wasn't near ready and would have been super rushed and so, I suppose that's the silver-lining.

Update: Here's some more photos of the figures, finished in construction, with the exception of a few shovel handles, and a few tiny details. They're essentially ready to be primed and painted.
I have every figure on a stand and covered with a miniature ziploc baggie to shield it from dust. Just before painting I'll remove the baggie, soak them in a bowl with a little distilled water and dish soap, dry them and prime them. I'm unsure of what to prime them in. I'll be using either my Badger Sotar 20/20, Omni 4000, or 200G or Renegade Spirit, but am also unsure of which color.
I have mission models black, Mig Ammo White One shot, AK Dark Yellow, Mr. Oxide Red Surfacer 1000 and
I've also included a photo of all the rejected figures I've built up and worked on for this project. I thought you all may find it interesting to see how jumbled my figure construction and sculpting process is.
All the figures and project figs I decided against using. Except the casualty at the top.
How I feel after a long day like today!

Regarding the figure painting: I know what you feel. Before my real serious project I never painted figures in a serious way, yet I wanted to use 40 of them. I just had to do it, so, after the whole lot was ready, I had no choice. I collected the (in my eyes) right tools: good paintbrushes, a optivisor (my eyes aren't that good anymore), a wet pallete (I decided for acryllics) and a whole bunch of paint (civillians are more colorfull than military), I set myself to it. I must say that I am not dissatisfied

Update:
Hey all! Just a quick update. I've been so busy working and doing house projects that I haven't had time to work on the Takom Panther A or diorama base. I did, however, order RADO's new 12th SS figure set the second it released. They came in last week and I was able to put them together super quick. Here's how they came out.
They are exquisite figures and perfect for this project. I'm very proud of them

On a related note, I am led to believe that the Panther A delivered to the Australian Armour and Artillery Museum in Cairns two days ago (restored by Axis Track Services in the UK), is in fact from 3 Kompanie, Panzer Regiment 25. If so, then 327 is indeed a wonder.
I am fortunate enough to be in Cairns at the moment and will see her running on Sunday. I’ll check out more info at the museum, but I have no reason at the moment to doubt the bona fides.
No doubt plenty on this site already knew this, but it will be amazing to see her nonetheless. Coincidentally, I was also fortunate to be in Normandy in 2016 and went to Rots to take my own ‘then and now’ pics in that iconic location.

Thank you for the kind words! I had no idea that one of the 12th SS's Panthers survived, let alone on of 3rd Kompanies! I would love to know the story behind it and see some photos. Also, that is really interesting that you went to Rots and got your own before and after shots.
I'm not the best at navigating this site, I cant even submit a personal photo to the kitmaker gallery so I can use it for my profile pic, but I would love to see those photos, if they're online somewhere!
