After a hard work with grills I have this variant. Was very hard to do all that and especially to separate upper deck . This is my final attempt. Three to go. Later I will do the grills bottom.

Little add on. I have installed the bottom. I just need to fill the gap and change the technology. Bottom first and the grills - second.

Yes those white plastic grille strips refused to be straight, I’ve had the same problem - the only way to line them up is to glue them to a base panel with spacers in between until the glue dries. Which is annoying because the whole point of the vents is to allow air to circulate beneath so there should not be anything in the way. But I think it’s the only solution, neat job and good luck with the other 3!

Hi,Tim! I agree with you. It is a hard work. But for me was much more harder to separate the plates and glue 0,4mm rivets.

Hello,Peter! That wasn't easy for me to do this and to get grills be strait. And those rivets,separate plates,sided with angle. Uff. At last it came to an end =))))

Ouch I can imagine some of the pain you must have endured to achieve that symmetry – very difficult…and excellent, well done!

Hi, Tim! Thank you. That wasn't easy. It's true. But this was a really good experience for me. I think this grills makes this model much more attractive and accurate.
Next week I will start air cleaners. It will be another interesting and hard work.

Hello,friends! Sometimes we should choose between accuracy and what we able to do with model. I've tried to do accurate work with air cleaners. Unfortunately it is very hard to get all this tiny parts together. I did my best,bit this is not final variant. Next week I will do some more works with cleaners and they will look better than now. Half work done with them.

Unfortunately, Bronco's plastic is very hard and sharp. I don't kike it at all. It is difficult to work with it. Shavings constantly appear. Because of this, it is very difficult to separate the plates in the front of the case. All time after work you shoul polish the surface. Bronco has almost completely ignored this point with plates. This is only the preparation of the front part. There is still a lot of work ahead.

Very impressive progress as usual Artyom. Regarding the air-cleaners, I know what you mean about reaching the limit of achievable accuracy. I suggest cheating - when it is not possible to make it any more accurate, one solution is to give it some damage. Those units are very exposed and were probably often dented and bent by collisions & battle damage

Hello,Tim! Thank you! I move forward but very very slow. Lack of time. Probably this is the most difficult my project. I did not expect to rework every part of this kit. Regarding to air cleaners, mostly I satisfied with the result. Better than the were.

Hello,friends! What can I say. Work with front hull is really fascinating and exciting. All details and plates need attention. Like this side visor of driver's cabin. It need to go upper and looks differ.I am working at this and it will take a time.

Bronco did not do their research/CAD design work very well - how could they get that side-visor (and the lifting hook on the front plate) so wrong? Size, shape, position all wrong, and it wasn’t difficult to make them accurate. Also, before you go any further isn’t the real front plate sloping back a few degrees? The kit’s plate is vertical…

Yes, Tim! I am a little disappointed because all this conversations will take much more time than I have expected. All front hull is wrong. I did my version of hook and visor. They are not very good but better than the kit ones. Now they are on wright places.

To be fair on Bronco, this is one of their earlier kits, from a dozen years ago. The first A13 was kit # 25 - the first 6 kits they produced were all on the same Hotchkiss chassis and the next 3 the CV 33 chassis, so a shallow learning curve from feedback on their first 9 releases. Their more recent kits are much better.

Hi,Peter! Maybe you are right. But I heard that their Ram has the same problems. I wanted to buy but now I think twice. And this is a fresh model.

True, the RAM hull has some notable issues that would not be an easy fix...… and I have the kit.
