Hi Cheyenne,
I agree wholeheartedly with Jerry that the roofing was a great idea, I'm sure you'll be able to work in some wonderful patination in the same way you have with your masonry.
Cheers, ,

Thanks G , Ski !!
Sorry for the multitude of basically the same/same pics , I'm trying different types of lighting .
To the naked eye the tarred dormers were painted using a medium grey/blue and showed a very slight hint of medium blue .
The camera decided tho to show it as a light grey with a heavy tint of blue , under all types of lighting ..... punt ....
Hey , ..... silver lining , solved the Godawful pink issue ....
This is the closest colors to the human eye ....
Another true to real color pic.

Does your camera have a manual white balance setting. If so, try and use this to take a photo of a piece of white card to set the proper white under different lighting conditions. That should sort out the different hues

That roof’s fantastic! Your jardinier hasn’t wasted any time or did he raid the conservatory?

The tack that seals the roof seems a bit rough?

Thanks Colin , will do .
Thanks Tim, he'll be even busier when he ivies the building !!
JR thanks bro , yeah it's growing .
Erwin , this chateau gatehouse in real life was built in 1759 . I don't know what the original flashing was but represented here in 1944 it stands to reason the roof flashing has been repaired many times , almost two hundred years worth . Although not a roofers preferred medium , tar is the go too repair . Tar shrinks after a few seasons of heat and cold , ask me how I know , my brick chimney gets a flashing over coat every couple of years , so the build up can get ugly .

Hi Cheyenne,
Brilliant build, I love the patination you've achieved on the roof, a work of 3D artistry, .
As for the tar I agree with you, I live in a property that is about 250yrs old, and you should see some of the sealing work around the dormers...makes yours look professional, .
Cheers, ,
G

Colors look great Bro and your lighting experiments have worked out just fine. The only true light would be outside, but then that's a whole different ball game with the camera. I love the roof work, great detail, flowing nicely.
