Jim did a "bulk" activation of a whole bunch of accounts that were stuck waiting for that activation email.
I did a few before Jim stepped in.

Yeah, I'm having no joy with the new forum either - bad password, no activation email - I sure hope they don't gut the old forum without fixing these issues.

Thanks Jim and Robin - that bulk activation obviously included my registration because I'm now able to log on.

I appreciate it doesn't solve the underlying issue but it's a temporary work-around.

Hey guys I may be able to add the Kitmaker email to my comcast address book.

I never used to get emails from Luckymodel, but now I put it in the address book I get 'em just fine.

Just one question - what IS the new email address? (E.g for the above it was luckymodel.com) Is it Kitmaker.com?

Hi,

For what it's worth, I got myself a new forum account in 17 seconds.
The registration page pre-filled the account name with my old account, Chrome auto-filled in my full name and email address, I typed something random for my password, and the activation email was waiting for me when I switched tabs to Gmail.

It may have been a bug bear in the beginning. I don't know, I didn't try it. And I know Comcast can be a pain. But for me, now, it could not possibly have been quicker, or easier.

YES! Seems to work for me now as well! Thank you so much for your efforts! I guess I'll get used to the new style, everything in the forums after finally being accepted there seems to work like a charm...

Well, that's it then for me here, I guess. Will be reading here for a while still, but new content will be created on the other side... See ya and off to a fresh start

I signed up today but never received an email to activate. I used the resend option and still no email.... A while later I went into the new forum to try again, but low and behold, everything was set up, I could post no issues, etc. I added my avatar and all seems good....

You could be safe and put both @kitmaker.net and @forums.kitmaker.net in your address book.

Hi David,

My provider is Ziggo. Email by Google.
But I had no problems whatsoever. That's what I was saying. And it was a very, very fast process.

The Comcast problem I understand. They've been hacked (and the accounts hijacked and used tp send spam) so often they're on a lot of blacklists. Happened with AOL too. And Microsoft before they cleaned up their act.
But I don't use them. And my verifcation email arrived within one - maybe two - seconds.
Conclusion: Jim's sign-up process works, is smooth and is very, very fast.

I activated your account.
The e-mail issue needs to be sorted out later.
Could be useful if you need to reset your password someday ...

Ok I’ve tried everything I know to do. Tried logging in under my current login and it won’t take, said it would send an email- nothing. Tried creating a new account and same thing, can’t get an email to activate the account. My email addy is the same as when I joined way back when.

What's happening with the Kitmaker Subscriber accounts? I've made a new account but no info transferred over.

There is a new Patreon option available for the forums we are using (Discourse) but sadly no PayPal subscription option. So very soon I will be terminating all the current PayPal subscriptions because that's only fair to those paying that for additional gallery space, etc., when we won't be doing a gallery soon.

I will try to make a badge for past subscribers that will show up on your profile/badge area on the new forum, but sadly I would never be able to do anything like the subscriber numbers or the like.

Thanks,
Jim
