Hey, this has to be a really stupid question, but I am new to painting military things, all I have done are 1:24 cars, where you want them to not look weathered and rusty, but everywhere I go to try to find out how to weather something, is says to drybrush, and I was wondering what, exactly, that means, thanks

Welcome ot the site Sancho. I found this article helped me a lot: Drybrushing
The main idea with drybrushing is to wipe almost all the paint off the brush and then go over the model. The drybrush will highlight higher spots and detail. Looks really nice in conjunction with a wash.

I am new to modeling after a break also. One thing I tried was using oil paints to weather the vehicles. You may want to give that a try also. I like to dry brush with oils because it dries very slow so you have a lot of time to blend it in. Also if you put to much on you can just wipe it off in most cases. If you intrested in trying this let me know, I can show you another article that really helped me when I tried this.
