Well, finally, the vignette is done and the weather allowed some photos
This is Jaguars What's Cookin' dio. Great resin kit. The only thing I added was the mg, rifle, helmets, and grasses.
I used oils on for the coop, rocks, base ground coat, hobby paint on the ground with various washes. Static grass and WS long grass. The figures were painted with various acrylics.
Enjoy - more in my gallery under the Whats Cookin folder

Hi Scott,
Looks real good, will it be original or extrra crispy? If I may offer a small suggestion, maybe add some more hay on the ground under the opening. Other than that I think you have a great looking vignette.
Best Regards,
Robert

Good point, there is a bit of straw scattered, but a focused bunch would be good.

Fantastic paint job on the coop. The wood finish is really realistic. I love the paint job on the leather pouches too. You could almost smell the leather.
Don't suppose you'd be interested in putting in some chicken wire as part of a fence? More importantly, when do we eat?

I had a bad day at work and tomorrow looks to be even worse. Your diorama made me laugh, I feel much better now. And of course, you did an excellent job.
Thanks Scott.

The guy holding the two chickens remind me of the game "Duck Hunt" for the Nintendo/Family computer systems :-) :-)
Very nice! Another non-warlike activity.

Looks good Scott.
Nice to see it was a fun one also.
I personally believe this should always be a fun hobby, like fishing.

Scott, great looking vignette. Only thing I might suggest is to add a little dust to the boots and lower leg areas of the two "joes". Other than that, it looks great. Nice work. "Q"

WOW, scott, what a nice theme for a vignette.
I really like this one. Small, but with great things going on inside it. Perfect.
Only one thing... I feel the edge (rope ?) is a bit too bright and therefore distracts/confuses the eyes a bit.
But for the rest....EXCELLENT !

:) Thanks for the feedback on the edge. I wanted to try something new and different. I was trying to play off the uniforms piping. It does come off as very bright.
Oh well try again next time.
I do appreciate the feedback.

Fantastic! Really picks you up looking at it. Only, I’ve chased chickens before, these guys are either super fit or just way too clean :-) :-) :-) :-)

Excellent little vignette Slodder. Although, the kit was good, as you say, the little additions you made were perfect. Totally believable situation and unique.
As suggested earlier .. some dusting on the boots would add to the figures. Also the guy holding the chickens has an un-natural yellow for hair colour. Maybe a wash would tone this down a bit?
Nice one!

yeah slodder really nice although in one of your pictures the grass looks a little shiny form the static grass...maybe airbrush some green on the areas to dull it down...

YEAH!! Like when was the last time you heard, "Hey I think I can see a seam on the back portion of the fin on that sea bass, and where they even involved in the shark hunt in the region?" Or "I do thing the weathering is too intensive on the scales of your flounder there!"personally believe this should always be a fun hobby, like fishing
Great dio, very interesting. One question, who used the blue uniforms? The luftwaffe?
