I wish they made a1/35 model of a DD Sherman. What other armor model would anyone else like to see in 1/35?
thanks

Well - since I'm into trucks, I'd like to see models of the US trucks from post-WW II on to the FMTV today. I'm also into missiles and battlefield ordnance, so things like the M474 and Pershing Missile would just make my millenium.
Naturally, I'd want all of this "stuff" at a reasonable price. $150+ for a little M5 high-speed tractor is beyond reason...
Actually - I change my wish. I'd like to have a manufacturer that has more than a 5% sales focus in our portion of the planet and is truely interested in growing this market.

Iwish there were more models of softskin vehicles from all nations. Skybow and AFV Club are doing pretty good job but we need MORE

I thought there were some DD conversions out there? There might even be a complete resin kit.
Even though Italeri has LVT's, I'd like to see Tamiya or Dragon take a shot at this subject!

I would like to see an MBT70/XM803. Add the springs in the roadwheel arms like the Tamiya Pershing and the tank could kneel like the real thing.
I would also like to see the Patton line completed in plastic. I'm talking an M-48, M-48A1, new M-48A2, M-60 and new M-60A2. Also some of the engineer equipment based on these chassis such as the AVLB (both M-48 and M-60 variants) with an optional AVLM for the M-60 variant and M-728 CEV.
Most of these could be done using a base kit and differing turret sprues or add-on sprue for the variants.

A bridge layer in 1/35 scale and- it's not an AFV but I'd like to see a 1/48 scale A6.
Thats what I'd like to see.

Yess!!!!!!! There are some awesome engineering vehicles, WWII through modern, that would make great kits.
I know, there are some aftermarket conversions but as long as were dreaming...

Now, I'm talking about injected plastic, not resin or resin conversion kits:
SABOT stole my heart with wish list of Patton family. I would also like to see early US armor M1 light tank and CAV combat cars, M2A1 & M2A2 medium tanks (not Bradleys), a good accurate M3 Lee/Grant.

I'd like to see a Stryker in 1:35. That would provide the basis for a dozen or more variants.

I'm with Sabot and whoever suggested the Stryker. I am especially interested in the bridges and the engineer vehicles. If we are dreaming here, I would love to see a 5-ton engineer dump truck, and the various transporters and bridge parts for modern US ribbon/assualt bridges.

Isn't the army in process of converting to "new" bridges from the old Bailey bridge?

Oh, and an M119 (I think) 105mm howitzer, and the new 155mm howitzer.
Matt - The Army has been trying to go away from the Bailey for years. The problem is that there really isn't anything that replaces it economically. It is no longer used for assault or tactical bridging, those have been taken over by floating ribbon bridges, modular bridges like the MGB, and vehicle launched bridges. The Bailey is still used for lines-of-communication and relief bridging, where a durable, easily emplaced, and relatively cheap bridge is needed. They are usually classified as 'temporary', but tend to be used for years before being replaced by 'permanent' bridges.
Come to think of it, how about models of the Wolverine and Grizzly (modern US engineer and AVLB), too!

Gunnie---I should have qualified my original statement by saying "a reasonably priced DD Sherman." Taking on a second mortgage is just not in the cards.

BC---what do you guys find so intolerable? I have the old Monogram and the Tamiya kits. I kinda like them. By the way, did you see where VLS is putting out an interior for an M-3 Lee (VLS 1807). Runs about $37.

I'd like to see more pre-WW II tanks, especially French ones like the St Chamond, Schneider and Char B1 bis.

Not really intolerable. Would like the option of a cast hull. And would like one in the quality of a new Academy/AFV Club/Tamiya type release.
I have seen that interior set. Now I'm very tempted to get another M3 and that update set.

Softskin models ? Did anyone say softskin models ?
Well, in that case my top 5 would certainly include Marilyn Monroe ! A decent M54 would be great too !

I've got an unbuilt M3 and the Eduard PE as well as the Jordi Rubio 75mm and 37mm barrels. I also have the AFV Club T51 Sherman/Lee individual track links inbound. I'll snap up the interior at the first sight of it in a store. It is my favorite tank and I don't see a whole lot wrong with the Tamiya one. I think a re-done Academy one would be cheaper and nicer though

I agree with GreyHunter and Fredenburg. I wanna see more wheeled AFVs. An eight wheeled Stryker would be at athe top of my list!!!
Of course, like Gunnie I also want to see more trucks armed to the teeth....
....tanks are always good too....
...but because I'm a Star Wars Freak, I want to see an AT-AT and a AT-TE in 1/35. Those would be show stopping models!!!!!!!!!
