I have resubmitted the request for the Heavy Haulers Campaign. I hope that we can get more individuals interested in this build. This could be a good way for some of our members to get involved a a scratch build and kit modifying experience. So far we have these members interested in the build.

I would love to add some more members here. If we cannot get the approval for an official campaign then we could go through with a regular group build and learning process. We have some very knowledgeable people showing interest and I am sure that they wold love to help those that would like to try a build like this

Dave, I like this Idea, & would love to be among such stellar talents mentioned above- I could be the 'How-Not-To-Do-It' example!
I have two concerns-
1.) time_ what would be the desired start/end dates? With a newborn in the housem y modeling time is at a premium. Later in the...ummm...decade would be best for me
2.) Kit Availability_you can also read Price here. I've got a killer Idea for this campaign, but the only kit I've been able to find is resin, & I can't get ANOTHER mortgage on the house! Failing that, it appears that it would be an interesting& straightforward scratch, but at the glacial pace @ which I work, this decade may even be out of the question...
So, I'd like to go on record as interested(if only to throw the efforts of the rest of you into blindingly sharp relief), but don't want to bail when the going gets rough.
Put me down as "IF I can get my crap together, I'm IN."
Cheers
RobH

Dave - I've been away from site for awhile - busy with work and making ends meet...
You know I'm still onboard with this Campaign - whether or not it becomes a "campaign" or not!
I'm just standing by, revving my engines...

Dave, you've missed me. I just realized you added the campaign and enlisted. As before, I will build the SA-2 transporter.

Here is a link to the original post explaining the campaign. For the start date I requested 27 Dec 2004 so that maybe some of us could possibly get something under the tree to build for this one.

Thanx for the link, Dave!

Knew it was out there somewhere but as I'm at work right now I couldn't spend too much time looking for it. Would it be too much to ask to extend the completion date by a month or 2? If not, I'm still in, but don't forsee an on time completion- just the honor of working with you guys.

I think that we can extend it if we have to.

I think a longer time period is a good idea, since some will actually be doing two kits for this one.

as I read a little bit.

I posted this on the other thread but I will add it here also. I'M IN! I will build either the Tamiya Dragon Wagon or Tamiya FAMO w/ trailer. I will watch for further developments.

We can extend it for a couple of extra months if that would make it better for everybody.

Well I don't remember enlisting since my initial idea didn't work out but I guess Dec is plenty of time to thing of something new to start.

The official start date is 27 Dec 2004. I built the SA-2 hauler a while back for the move it campaign. It is a fantastic build with a lot of detail out of the box. You are going to really enjoy this one.

thanks animal,
in the box it looks great, lots of rivets and the textures look good too ( like the leather texture on the seat cushions). I heard the fit is on the bad side but I'll see for myself.
do I have to start it on the 27th of dec. or can I start it right away? sorry if the question sounds a bit dumb but this is my first campaign and I have no clue about campaign rules.

Depending on wether I get enough kits finished before that date, I might enter... what is the enddate for the campaign...
My choice would be the Faun "Franziska" (the Trumpeter kit). I am just wondering... would the truck alone be sufficient, or would the trailer have to be finished as well ?
Thanks in advance....

You can view all the info about this campaign here
https://armorama.kitmaker.net/modules.php?op=modload&name=Campaigns&file=index&req=showcontent&id=52 The Faun Transporter is an excellent choice for this build. I too plan to build this on along with a couple of scratch builds.

A very good choice for sure. Take a lot of photos of the trailer build. I would like to try and build this trailer myself.

Will do animal. I am also creating orthographic drawings of it so if/when you decide to start, they are yours.
