Hey, anybody hear anything about that new AFV Club Tiger?
I hear it's pretty nice...

This...umm...IS the new AFV Club Tiger thread...right??
Kinda hard to tell...

I have reviewed it here: http://www.track-link.net/reviews/k1456

It's OK, but I think you'd be a lot happier with the DML late Tiger when it is released. I have the DML initial Tiger and it is simply the best tank kit ever produced.

Paul.

PS: I don't visit this site much, when I do it is to follow topics that interest me. This one _was_ of interest, but I lost interest with all the bickering. Come one guys, I thought Armorama was the friendliest site there is! If you're turning away people like me then that can't be friendly :-)

Yeah, that post was my lame attempt at a bit of sarcasm...seems like most folks were talking about everything BUT the new AFV Club release.
I had posted last week that it's out in the shops here in Japan, and I had poked through the box, but amongst all the Tamiya-bashing and supporting and other nonsense, nobody seemed to notice...or care.

As you've mentioned, I'm waiting for the Dragon late Tiger.

I finished my Italeri Tiger several months back. I was impressed with the build. Got my first set of Fruils to replace the plastic length and link tracks. I liked it.

Tell me what about the DML or AFV Club that is going to blow me away?

I haven't seen the Italery model, but I have strong doubts whether it is not a copy of some other company. Just like its Sturmtiger for instance.
Not only is it a copy, but it has a lot of things that need fixing.
