Heres my finished model of a Tamiya Panzer III,painted in Tamiya Acrylics and weathered using mig powders.the only thing i added was photo etch grills nothing else.base it sits on is a mig productions stalingrad plaster base, which was first painted in enamels and then Acrylics and finished off with weathering powders.
all comments welcome.cheers

Looks great, mate.
The only suggestion I can make is to start using PE parts or self-made ons for the latches and other types of securing of the ax, shovel etc. At the moment they look as if you just stuck them on and it spoils the overall great work you've done. The line that sticks out in the middle of the wooden block for the jack has to be painted the same colour as the tank because it is the fixture and is inseparable from the tank itself, it also needs one of those nuts that look like a butterfly, sorry but I don't know the name for it in English.

Hi Karl,
Won't comment on the details as I'm not a "detail hound" as far as fixture and the like.
(No offense meant to Nikola)
I think you've done an excellent job on the weathering. To me that's what pretty much makes or breaks the model. The under carriage and running gear are very convincing. The upper hull with the subtle rusting, fading and dust are also very well done.
Thanks for sharing, It's a real inspiration to me to continue to improve my skills.

No offense taken, the reason I didn't mention the weatherin is that I find it as close to perfect as a photo can show.

Nice model Karl. The only thing I'd say is that with the amount of dust/dry mud on the sides of the chassis I'd expect to see abit more up the front & back of the tank maybe, but it's just fine as it is.

It's called a butterfly nut in English Nikola. BTW your English is alot better than my Bulgarian!

Karl it looks wonderful to me!!! The Pzkpfw III chassis is my favorite!!! The weathering is simply superb some of the best I have seen. I wouldn't worry to much about the fiddly PE stuff I really find it daunting and we are afterall in this hobby to have FUN!!!! right??? I don't find spending countless hours of manipulating tiny itty bitty brass peices fun! I've tried it but right now I'm too new at this hobby to give it a serious go perhaps in time....

Karl -

Outstanding weathering and I agree with others that it really brings the build to life. Vey well done and convincing. The only thing I can think of is maybe so more "stowage" items, crew gear or something to add a little, but then that does cover up some of the great looking details . Congrats on a terrific build.

nice job there karl.. i like the overall subtle weathering on the tank. if i have one suggestion, it would be to add another figure (infantry) running/ taking cover beside the tank.... good work anyway.

Karl you've really nailed the tracks and wheels, well done, very convincing.Good solid build on the rest of the tank as well.
My only nit pik would be that the spare tracks are rusted therefore this tank has seen some action. I think there should be some wear marks/scratchs on the hull and bar thing that hold the spare tracks. The paint there looks to new.
I do like the subtle "dusting" on the upper hull and your figure looks nicely painted, although the photos don't get to close.

Nice job Karl

I'm just finishing off my Tamiya Pzkw III Ausf L (but with a winter whitewash) and its been a great little kit to get back into modelling after 20+ years.

Now I've seen how it could look, I'll have to pull out all the stops on my weathering job.
