I have found my A6m2 type 21 zero. my kit is the old Tamyia kit in 148 scale. There was some dammage to it but the repairs I made seem good.

I have one small problem left I wanted to do a Pearl Harbor zero was it white in the back or gray. Or is it Gray in front .

If I can get it done I will re enter.

Treecat,

Welcome back! I hope this may help. I know modelmaster paints has what they call "Imperial Japanese Navy Grey" I assume this color scheme might be close to what you want.

Joker,

The RN did use Corsairs to escort bombers for strikes against German Navy ships in Norway. Every account I read said there was no aerial opposition to any of these raids so the F4U's primary task was flak suppression.
Another note I also read that RN Hellcats had one known dogfight with ME-109's and scored several kills with out loss.

Great updates on your models and progress

Sincerely,

Brian

Thanks Brian,
I think I'll try and find out a little bit more about that. I was thinking about Trumps Avenger as an FAA version with Invasion stripes but maybe another Corsair?....Thanks for the inspiration
Cheers

Hi Peter!

Your Corsair looks awsome! It's always difficult to make a good looking model with such one color schemes... but you really did a subtle job on it.

This kit remembers me an old book of the Corsair I still have. There are some walkaround pics of a RN corsair in it. Your models matches the real one very closely!

Congratulations!

Hi Bf443, I decided to follow the Tamyia paint key ( even if I think it's wrong ) So the plane recived a overall
coat of XF-12 IJN light grey.

began detail painting too on the engine.

I may not get there with ya, but atleast I finnaly found were my kit got set for safe keeping

More painting after work tonight.

Joker!

Wow, what a beautiful paintjob. The shading (pre?) really brings life into the model!!

Simply outstanding work, in my humble opinion!

There has really been some extra-ordinary models in this campaign (One has to be proud to have been a part of it)! And there are still a couple of days left!!

Cheers!

Hey guys.

Here some pictures of my second entry for this campaign: a F/A 18A Hornet.
Because the scale is 1:144 it's not an official entry, but one just for fun.

Although 'fun'... Those little Revell kits are very hard to build out to a realistic model. I lost my intrest because the lack of detail (or even resemblance) and the poor fitting. There are not even holders for the rockets: just glue them under the wing... right! It's also allready missing one of it's rockets. Searched the room for it, but it seemed he fired it far away...

Well, this is how it turned out. Remeber, the plane is blown up 4 times in these pictures, so please don't laugh to load!

AMEN! That's exactly what I hope too!

Hi Rigger!
That's a beautifull plane. A Val, is that an ''Aichi Type 99 Model 11''? (I'm not so good in Japanese planes...)
It looks good! I like the tail very much.

I took the liberty to place your picture here , so everybody can enjoy:
