1 Oct is fine by me, how about 31 March to end, or at least 28 Feb ?

Also "must be designed as cargo or personnel carrying" (or words to that effect).
That kinda knocks out wreckers, fire trucks, tractors, cranes, machine shops, and other special purpose wheeled vehicles ????

John
PS: Just got the '72 VanderVeen, so now we are in sync ....

No it does not as wreckers are Cargo carrying vehicles as the vehicle they are towing is the load. as are fire trucks as they carry the pumping equipment.

Same with machine shops etc as their loads are the tools they carry.

Howdy fellas,

Mighty glad this thing grew some legs!! And even happier to see our good 'Roo take the helm. And if Jeff can give you a hand Cliff, that would be great.

Now, I just need to figure out what I'm going to build.........

But, on another interesting note {at least to me}, I just discovered the new (re-release?) 1/72nd scale Airfix kit of the GMC 'Red Ball' Express truck. Looks like a nice kit, but the thing of it is, the truck is depicted on the box art as having a field-built rack on the front bumper that holds several Jerry cans........

here's a pic...

this is almost precisely the way I built my hard cab GMC Radio Command truck for the first "Move It!!" Campaign, and I did this configuration without any knowledge whatsoever of this configuration having actually been used........I just thought it was a bloody good idea!
Kinda neat to see I wasn't too far off, and that my idea made sense to more people than just me! ....

Tread.

Will a picture of still existing WWII vehicles from a military vehicle meeting be accepted as reference?

happy modelling

I'd like to bring this campaign idea back in mind. The year is near its end. I think there were plans to start in january 2006. Is there any interest left to do this campaign ?

happy modelling

Harald I would like to see another softskin campaign run next year (2006) and am happy to support it. However due to on going health problems I am NOT in a position to run it myself, but would be happy to support it if someone else runs it.

cheers

I believe that an "official" campaign (with a folder and enlisting) isn't available until 01-01-06. I could be wrong though.
Either way, I'm still totally in!

Count me in for right now, depending on events in the next few months, I'll have a better idea whether I can do it for sure,

How about like a mid January beginning of February start date?

As i understand the rules a new campaign can start at 02-01-06. But this will be ok from my point of view. I suggest deadline could be 06-30-06.

I haven't taken part in a campaign before, do you have to just post finished pics or is it as you go along?

Is 2nd of january confirmed as the start date?

Cheers

I will be more than willing to run it. I thoroughly enjoyed finishing Move It! and would gladly do it again.

How about starting in say February? I will do some research to see if we can start then.

We have 18 confirmed people in (though most accepted in June...) which is more than enough for a campaign proposal. I elect myself to head it (unless anyone has a concern) and also am opening this topic to the Campaign forum for suggestions of ideas and campaign outlines and rules.

EDIT: Here is the link to the campaign proposal:
