Some of the weapons from it would work. The M16A2s and M16A2 Carbine (M4s, kinda, close enough) would work. The set also includes a bunch of obsolete weapons, not good for OIF, but fine for Vietnam timeframe, such as the M16A1, CAR 15, etc. The rest wer never really widely used.
I have also been told USMC tankers did not have any M4s during the initial invasion, so only the M16A2 would be correct.

Don't the M-16A2s in that pic appear a bit stubby in comarison to to the A1? As far as I know the A2 is as long as the A1 (or even a cm or two longer). Looks more like a carbine in that pic

The M16s in the set are pretty good. The flash suppressor is a little thick and the barrel, incredible thin (a good thing) is thus very fragile. But I agree, really only the M16, M4(ish), and M16/M203 (which is actually an M16A1 with M203) would work. For the A1/203, you'd need to do a little work to make is look like an A2.

When I was there in March 2003 through July 2004 I saw several armor crews with assorted variations of AK-47's as well.

the tankers carrying ak's and the pistol grip only version, i cant remember the real nae just an ak with no buttstock, are because if we take our weapons on the tank the get disgustingly dirty, and the armys .223/5.56 choice for them sucks in iraq, and the ak family is 7.62mm and shoots fast and accurate with a good operator, and they double as "plant me weapons"
Tanks are the right and humane way to end any world scuffle, be it oil, civil unrest, foreign hostile regimes, weapons of mass distruction, and or just plain pissed at someone, so love and OBEY them
