We do/did have a glossary of terms here at Armorama: http://figures.armorama.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=Glossary&file=index
The HMFIC speaks! (Do non-Army people know this?)
Another for the list:
"Hey, that shade of OD wasn't used then."
To which yo reply, "DILL IGARA?" Hint: It's not Farsi.

Just got a hint that the ladies on Armorama probably don't have a HWMBO simply because, when they have a relationship, they (the ladies) are directly stated as SWMBO's themselfs and therefor HWMBO's are non-existing...
The one giving me the hint (my own SWMBO) adviced to call the guys HWMO (He Who Must Obey)...
Actually, I prefer HWMBP (He Who Must Be Pleasured)
ANYWAY...
Here is a serious contribution I find in PM's I sometimes get:
FYI: For Your Information

We have that too. Although I only learned of it after DILL IGARA. DILL IGARA was spray painted on one of our ISU-90's in Afghanistan, along with a pretty good cartoon drawing of Mickey Mouse giving the finger. I was in country two months before I finally admitted I had no idea what it meant-I thought it WAS Farsi.
And here I was thinking I'm old school.
