I'm a fan of modern armor. Mainly US Army equipment, but I do delve into modern NATO/ Warsaw Pact armor too. I've even been known to buy a modern Japanese and Korean tank on occasion.
Here's a link to where I work: Major Rob's Motor Pool. I have unlimited access to all the vehicles you see pictured in my motor pool. It's probably one of the premier places to get detail photos of modern US equipment. I take the shots and since I am a modeler, I try to get the shots I think a modeler would need. I do specific requests when I have time, where else can you get almost real time access to a fairly large resource?
Some of the equipment there is older and outdated. I'm awaiting disposition instructions on the 800-series 5 tons, M901 ITVs, M578 VTRs, M548 Ammo Carriers and several others. Many of my equipment is brand new and factory fresh like the FMTV, HET, PLS, M1064 Mortar Track, M113A3, M2A2. Most of my equipment is here for soldiers to tear apart and learn how to fix. Because of this, some of my equipment isn't the latest. For example, the mechanical differences between an M1A1, M1A1HA and M1A2 are minor, therefore I do not get a new M1A2 to tear apart the engine since an M1A1 will do just fine. Same deal with an M109A6 Paladin, the lower hull of an M109A4 or A5 is just as good.

Hey Sabot.....
Do you by chance have any of the M2A2 Bradley Linebackers in your possesion? I am not even sure if there are operational or just in the experimental stage still.
Was just wondering if they were the same as the other M2A2s and just the TOW replaced by the Stinger box....or if they had any other differences to them.
Does the Stinger box fold down like the TOW, or is it up in place....all of the pictures I have seen have the box in the firing position...so I don't know if this is permanent or not.
My thinking is......I have both the Tamiya M2A2 Bradley, and the older M2 Bradley w/interior...as well as the old model (Esci I think) Stinger varient of the Humvee, with a missing body......all the other parts are there, except the body. My plan was to take the interior of the M2 Bradley, put it in the M2A2, which I would think since they are basically the same mold, woulnd't be that much of a problem...and then adding one of the Stinger boxes from the Avenger kit in place of the TOW box.
I may actually forgo the interior in the M2A2, as I don't have alot of stinger missle tube laying around....and would look pretty silly with TOW tubes in the back of a Linebaker Bradley that has no TOW launcher!!!
Anyway....not that my long windyness is done....any help in the matter would be much appreciated!!!

I am a modern fan. Although, right now I am on a WWII binge.
I do believe the Bradley Linebacker is operational.

It's one of the top draws, I post links in other forums when someone has questions regarding modern US equipment. Then they usually stay on.

Add another modern armor fan to your list. Am currently working on Accurate Armor's M114A1 with markings of my personal vehicle when I commanded a Cav troop Germany.
Also gradually trying to build my whole armored cav platoon from Viet Nam (10 vehicles) (I know some people don't consider Viet Nam armor "modern" but, hey.
