well... i'm going to do AFV club's Dodge WC56 truck... still haven't started anything though...

question: one of the campaign reqs is to include a picture of the actual vehicle. i can't find any pics of the WC56 in-action during the war, but i found some modern pics of restored vehicles... are they acceptable?

Here is a couple of pics of the WC56. The first shows vehicles ready to be loaded for overseas and the second one traveling through a bombed city in Europe WW2.

Jeff my photo collection now just about fits on about 15 discs. The WW2 Dodge file is tied for second largest with GMC-CCKW's. The CMP (Canadian Military Pattern) truck file is the largest.

All ways happy to help if I can.

Hay Jeff and All,

Starting my M984 wrecker tonight.I'm using the Italeri M978 fuel truck for the base(forgot I didn't have the M977 kit ) with the Hobby Fan wrecker conv., the Edward PH set for the M977(what I can use) and Real Models Good Year tires. All stuff I've had for some time just needed a reason to build it.

Has anyone get any tips when building this?

I feel all inadequate now. Those trucks are all so much bigger than mine. I'm doing a humble Ford model T truck. Most of it's from RPM, I had to throw some bits away and add a few other bits but it's coming along okay. I have most of the paint done so it just needs weathering and final assembly.

I bet my truck is smaller. I'm just about at the painting stage for my Hasagawa 1/72 scale GMC-353 D 6x6 750-gallon capacity gasoline tank truck.

Hi Jeff

I'm not sure if you prefer the progress reported in an extra thread or here (please give me a hint)

I've started the Hummer and made some progress:

I had to relocate the back wall for the driving compartment to fit the wooden parts (compare pic 2 and 3).

All in all it is a nice little kit altough I'm not sure if the hood will fit ..

best wishes from Germany

Gday

I got hold of a Italeri ZIS 5 but once i opened it it was terrible, panels were warped. i attempted to start it but lost interest real quick. even the engine parts didnt marry up good enough. i will decide on a suitable project soon.

free to good home 1X Italeri ZIS 5 kit opened and only thrown against wall once.

I'am makeing only little progress. Most of the Autocar and the trailer is done. Currently, I'am struggling with the PE-part for the DUKW.

Happy Modelling

I'll make Krupp Protze (I bought the kit yesterday). I haven't stared yet but I hope I'll start tomorrow.
So far I've found few pics of Krupp Protze in the web but none of these represent vehicle proposed on decals sheet by Tamiya.

I have started Italeri´s water truck, and also using Eduard´s PE set. I have about 40% built so far ... but have not had any modelling time this last 3 weeks. Thankfully there is a good long build time!!
