Well I'm about 2/3rds done the build. The Hobby Fan M984A1 is a nice conv. but the instruction sheet is very basic and hard to pinpoint some of the smaller parts (thank god for Prime Portal).I've done quite a few HF conv. and full kits and must say the the instruction for this one are not near as good as thier others.
Still plugging away, Jim

If it's alright with everyone and not too late, I'll post my entry. You all probably know it, so here it is:

Here's mine version. Looks alittle better but still prefer it without any cargo.:

My Tamiya Steyr is all assembled and ready to be painted.
My wife and I had our baby on Feb 12th so life has been a bit hectic the last couple weeks and modeling has fallen wayyyy off the radar.
However the little guy has almost got us into his routine and things seem to be evening out a bit. I hope to get back at it this weekend and finish it off.

Here I come with an interesting vehicle..
This is a ambulance version of Zis-44 Russian truck and comes from FORT, an Ukranian producer.. The injection quality is quite good and I had no problems of assembly till now..
The tires look like rubber but they are injected, too..
And here is a picture after a couple of hours on the workbench.

Wampum,
That's a great looking ZIS.
Where did you bought the START kit? Never heard of it, but it does look like the same mold EasternExpress used for theirs.
I'm back on my project, working on the fenders and seats. Tell/show you all more when we are able to post new pictures on the site.

Fabio,
That sounds like a very rare model! I'm looking forward on the pictures. Is it a kit or is it scratch-build?
These are the pictures from my Ford, as far as I'm now.
For the rear fenders I used the ones from the kit, cutted in shape.
Also I highered the part behind the seats (I had cutted that to low) and I used putty on the seats to make it more look like leather, instaed of the pimpy pluche seats that came with the kit
:-)

Hi Paul,
This kit came from Ukrain to me last year. I have no idea about the producer. I didn't hear about this "FORT". But I purchased this kit and another Russian half track kit to try, they were very cheap.
On the box there is an internet adress which is not have any relation about this producer;

Thanks John for your comment. It's scratchbuilt. I started off using the M977 chassi from Italeri and modified it. The Tires are from Accurate models. Everything else is scratchbuilt or a heavily modidifed peice.

Oh yes, its FORT not START...( how do I come to that??) But indeed that URL looks to have nothing to do with the kit.
On www.misterkit.com I found a FORT GAZ Jeep too, but there is almost non info about this firm on the net. But it look interesting kits!

Hey Dave!
It's the 1:24 Monogram Classics kit of a 1940 Ford.
Actually, the kit is original a custemized version with al lot of shiny chrome in it (yug!! where is the dull coat!?)
Funny thing is it comes with 1:24 scale tools!!

Very good Paul, at first I thought you picked up one of the old Pyro 1/32 kits, and converted that.

Drat !!! I had the same idea, collected army TM's, Italeri 977's, & some other things, but never started.
After seeing your excellent work, I probably never will ...

Here is what I have so far. The 6x6 and 105mm plus the figures still need some final touches and a total dullcoat. Then the base has to be finished.
