Hello all,
This really has nothing to do with modeling. I've looked in the Image help section and it's all about posting photos.
So, here's my very simple question. How do I get emoticons to show up in messages I post? When I drag and drop, the resulting post has the javascript code, but no image. Do I need to include the javascript in [img] tags?

No, just click on the emoticon and then return the cursor back to the Post Text box.
If you want lots of the same emoticon hit return before returning the cursor...

Hi Lee!
If you're speaking of the pm system here at Armorama, only the recipient will see the actual emoticon, and the javascript will be shown on your side of the pm. If you're talking about the forum posts, just click on the emoticon that you wish to appear in your post and the script will appear in your message before posting, and then the 'con will show up after you submit your message. Hope this helps out!

If there's an emoticon you like from elsewhere, you can treat it as any image, right clicking it, choosing properties and copying the URL and using the img button above to isert it, so that looks like this with a full set of brackets img]http://www.s2ki.com/forums/html/emoticons/hidebehindcomputer.gif[/img

Thanks! #:-) Yes, I'm referring to the emoticons to the right of the "Post Text" box. I think that problem was that I was dragging the emoticon and dropping into the message box, rather than simply clicking on the emoticon.
Here's hoping my emoticons show up this time!

Wow, Al. Did not know that. You have to remove the "image file" text too but by golly it works.
Thanks,
Shaun

Dave, there is no file extension in these addresses, gif is the usual for an emoticon. And even adding one didn't make a differnce. When you copied the address, did you triple click it? That will highlight all the address, even if it doesn't show in the properties box.

Is this going to create bandwidth issues for someone?
Just asking, 'cause I don't know...
