"...now witness the power of this fully armed and operational battlestation!"
— Emperor Palpatine
I should use this thread to point out that we have a "New and Improved" system for removing or suspending accounts that are potentially trolling or simply abusing their terms of service here.
If Mr Burgess would like to try it out he is more than welcome. Basically it's a one button "suspend" where the user is removed from any valid groups and is moved to the banned user group (no further access to sites) and all the users created topics and posts will instantly disappear (with a few minor exceptions at present).
Several members will have access to this nuclear option if the situation arises. Hopefully this will help with the troll-fest lately.
Thanks,
Jim

Nice one Jim!
I assume this is given to Managing Editor and higher levels?
Any thoughts as to doing a blanket block-out of 10.0.0.* IP's? Might save a lot of stunning later, as most of the trolls seem to have been creeping out from under that bridge...

Nice creation!!!
hopefully we doesnt have to witness the nuclear weapon in action. I may suggest we set a few level say defcon 1, 2 to this throll after a series of warning. so 1 means =blocking the ip as what rudi proposing, and 2 =the launch of nuclear weapon... hehe..
so who got access for the launch code??
The more i know, the less I understand!!!!

Kinda like our very own "easy" Button, eh Jim?!?
Bravo, sir, and unfortunately, you have to take steps and measures such as this, but once again, Armorama prevails against the forces of evil! And Jim, if you need an additional "zapper" in the future, I'm signed in all day at the jobsite and would be more than willing to give you and the site a hand with this.
Sincerely,
Mark

Does it work in everyday life as well? If so where can I get hold of one?

Yes Martin, they do work in daily life. For price and availability, ask my ex-wife's lawyer...

I personally saw the beam of doom used on someone, not me though. I answered a topic, looked back, and his initial request was gone.
