Excellent Vinnie.
Every time i see one of your 251's it makes me want to build another. Some of those photos make it look real. Who produces the German skier ? And what did you use for the snow ?
I hope you are bringing that half track to Hinckley to put on the stand.
Andy

Vinnie -
Can always learn from a great 'Teacher'. Love the scene and the snow looks terrific. What was your 'source' for your snow? The backdrop adds a very nice perspective to the overall scene. I know we may not get the background in them, but some more angles would be great.
OOpps, my bad. I was so captivated by picture, didn't notice link. Beautiful work and Thanks Vinnie!!!

Vinnie,
A fantastic result you have to tell us what you made such natural looking snow from and where you found such a fabulous background that really sets the scene.

Flawless as usual and very realistic looking photos. Hard to tell it's a Dio at first glance. It really tells a story. Sigh! I aspire to your level of expertise. But I've got a long way to go. Anyway. Keep them coming!

Glad you like it, and thankyou very much indeed for the comments!
Andy, all the figures are older Dragon ones, with Hornet heads, I'm sorry I can't remember the name of the various sets they came from though?#
The snow is Cast A Coat from the small shop EU, I'm hoping to put a review up of it tomorrow. I'd like to take it to Hinckley if Mal wants it?
Thanks again guys.

Vinnie, great build.
Coming from a guy who lives in snow like that 4 months out of the year, that snow is downright creepy. Makes me cold just thinking of it (we are stillmelting off the last remnants of winter right now). I would absolutely love to know how you got the effect from Cast A Coat in the review. Please?

Superb work! As the others have said, it looks real from some angles. The attention to detail is awesome - I note the metal barrel cover on the rear MG with holes in! The poses of the figures are very natural. BTW, I think the set with the skiers has been re-released, I think I spotted it in the LHS.
I note that Dragon use some examples of Vinnie's work in the 2006 catalogue, 'nuff said!

Really fantastic job Vinnie! The subtle rust streaks on the whitewash, and the snow texture are absolutely perfect! Makes me feel like I'm standing there looking at the real thing!

Vinnie, your Bio says you teach Science, otherwise I would have assumed it was Art, since every project I've seen from you is a work of it.
Your weathering on this one is outstanding, your figures, groundwork...I'm at a loss for words.
I guess you were meant to be a teacher because, man, am I learning things from you.
