'You did not post an honest opinion you attacked JIM'
i didn't even mention Jim, i posted about a magazine, and then received an abusive PM.
but hey, i'm just an ignorant 12 year old with no decency who has a problem with authority figures and think i know it all.

"but hey, i'm just an ignorant 12 year old with no decency who has a problem with authority figures and think i know it all."
Everything EXCEPT how to capitalize I. :-)
No you didn't attack Jim - no not at all-These are not your remarks below-
"is anyone on this site allowed to disagree with jim?"
"jim disagreed, suggested i hadn't read it, later branded me ignorant and then it appears he locked the thread."
"but i found jim's actions to be those of a bully, and i had the decency to actually say this in the thread."

to be fair, you're not involved in this, and i have over 22,000 forum posts elsewhere, i abandoned capitals a long time ago where forum posts are concerned.
i'm trying to make a serious point, i'm not arguing with members, and have no idea who you are or why you're playfully trying to bait me.
it won't work, as i'm not trying to escalate anything into a flame war here. i do take issue with staff abusing members though, but that's all.

In all fairness you are right -however you are tak=lking about Jim Rae (who incedentially is the managing editor of Armorama) who gives a lot of his time and energy to this site. I welcome to come on over to the sci fi forums and look around - You are welcome here - but the point I think several of us have tried to make is simple -if you have a gripe you should settle it with Jim don't drag it into the forums- cause we like Jim - and he is kinda an expert - these are his reviews

Have tried to stay out of this idiotic post, but can't help it. We are all involved in it since you are dragging it out in the public forums.
Apparently his baiting did work. You do look quite juvenile and ridiculous here. Glad you stopped using punctuation; guess you are just too lazy as well.
Could someone please just delete this idiotic post? It is getting quite old.
By the way, if you so dislike the site, just leave us. We would not be upset if you did.

Adam, I don't mean to interject and I've read all this posting and as a member just had to respond.
As anyone on this site can tell you I can be a bit of an a-hole myself, I have disagreed with Jim B., yes he is a little curt [ thank God I spelt that right ] and short, oft times he's correct.
Yes sometimes you need a thick skin to be a member here.
I've told off color jokes and stories, have been missunderstood and people have taken things I've said the wrong way.
Fences have been mended though [ I hope ].
Sometimes it's not easy to get a read on something someone posts, especially typed on a computer, rather then in a one on one communication.
Sometimes the best thing to do is just let sleeping dogs lie.
Anyway welcome to Armorama FagTank, we're all basically good guys here and I hope you stay and enjoy the site.

jim, i was posting my latest reply before i read your latest abuse.
'Just admit you are a teenager, having trouble with authority figures and always think you are right, then we can shake our heads, move on and put all this behind us. '
i'm not the one posting my opinion as fact and branding all those who disagree as 'arrogant' 12 year olds.
i find your demeanor quite juvenile myself to be honest.
the gripe was about moderation, which is clearly connected to the site, unless your mods don't actually represent armorama?
my last post was an attempt to put this business to bed, yet you seem to be determined to be as abusive as possible.
us 12 year olds always thought grown ups acted like grown ups. i guess not.
Abuse? I have not been abusive. Just honest.
I am glad you were honest enough to admit that you may have been too hasty. It's a start. However to then just jump back into being defensive and complaining that I (and others I am sure) are being abusive. If telling someone that they are acting like a child is being abusive... well then I guess you are just as guilty.
Jim
PS: I think I will go back to playing Oblivion now...

Adam, you'd be better off just leaving this site---it becomes addictive very very quickly, (and once hooked), its a tough habit to break.
Seriously, as a newbie, welcome to the site sir.

i'm not going to get an apology off either staff member so i won't add to this thread anymore after this.
suffice to say, i've learnt a lot about the site from this incident.
you guys would do well to learn how to run a forum.
