I need to take you up on the offer of an extension too. I am at the mercy of the weather when it comes to airbrushing as I don't have an indoors area where it can be done.
I have only a little to do but it's halted the progress.
Sorry to those who have finished on time.
Cheers

Hi Fred!
Why does this not surprise me? :-)
Hi Jean-Luc,
Painting (and repainting, and re repainting) and attaching those 16 bombs almost ended this kit, too!|:(
Polarbear's Lansen is looking great!

Hi Fred!
I assume attaching, but also painting the bombs must have been a long process, especially as you choosed to paint them with different shades of green and different yellow stripes! These are the details wich are bringing life to a model!

here is my completed p61a black widow 'borrowed time', a 72 scale kit from dragon with aires cockpit set. I'm glad I made it before the deadline I learnt a lot despite making plenty of mistakes, and that's the point here isn't it? maybe next time I work on a larger scale for something this complex

Hi Lim!
That's a nice Black... errr... Green Widow! :-)
I like it and the fact it is "factory fresh" is a nice change. Usually the P-61s are dirty and weathered and yours looks clean.
The work you did on the canopies is awesome, especially in that scale! Did you use masking tape? And did you painted them interior green first before applying the olive drab to simulate the interior color?
I'll update the "Landed" picture on June 1st. Jim Lewis (Guntruck) proposed to award the ribbons for those who have finished at that date despite the fact the Campaign's end date has been changed to June 30th. So guys, if you want the ribbon one month before the others, you will have to finish your entry before next thursday!

thanks jean-luc!
the canopies were masked with eduard's die-cut masks. this is my first time using them. yes, i painted the interior green on the clear part first. the colour looked different from when i did the fuselage interior, so i painted grey primer over it as well. on removing the mask, the colour looked correct so i'm happy.
the decals weren't so good, i tore a few and got away with it. i didn't like the invasion stripes so decided to leave them off. this gave me no choice but to do a factory fresh version. that turned out well

Hi all!
We are June 1st, time for an update!
So far 24 participants have completed their entries and 8 are still building. If we want to reach a ratio of 50% we need at least 5 more finished models before the end of the month. This should not be to difficult to achieve! So ASTM.108, Bottlerocket, Holdfast, JosePedro, Savage, Tigercat, Vanize and wizard179, we count on you!

Hi again!
For those who wonder what entry n°26 is, it's a MiG 1101 early Soviet jet. The design was made by Messerschmitt but it was only use in operation during the 1946 post war crisis between the U.S. and the Soviets for the control of Berlin.
Of course this only happened in an other dimension! :-) The model is a 1/72 Revell kit I built for my school's model club. As it is a "what if?" plane I decided to have fun with it and enter it in the "Teeth" Campaign.
It is displayed in flight and will remain on my classroom's desk from now on...

Jean-Luc:
What a great little plane!!!! I love that paint scheme.. Is it the old Russian Turtle Shell Scheme?? :-)
Just how did you achieve such a look? Did you base the tan and mask the red or vice versa.. I just may have to steal this one on a couple future projects..
Paul

Hahahaha. Nice idea with only three open points(that I saw):
1-This aircraft wasn't read to fly, only a few(maybe only "a") unfinished prototype was ready.
2-Americans captured the P1101. If you had built Ta183, it would be more apropiat. As far as I remember Russians captured them.
3-The T tail version is Dragon's (And Revell model is in deed Dragon mold) imegination for Nachtjäger version. Original's tail is standard.
Conclusion: Naaa don't care, it looks GREAT!!!!

Hi All!
Paul, as I had to use the school's airbrush (simple one) I decided to use blu Tac. I first sprayed the underside blue, then a light brown color. I applied small balls of Blu Tac all over the model and sprayed a coat of dark green. Finally, I pressed on the Blu Tac balls so they expand a little (1mm) and applied a darker brown as final coat. That's the result: turtle camo!
Yalım, I know it's not very accurate, but as this happened in another dimension, I guess it's ok! :-)

Well seeing as how the campaign is pretty much over
Hi Roderick!
Not quite in fact! There is still a one month extension! But thanks for your kind words!
I want to give credit to GunTruck for the support provided for this Campaign. If you look at your profile page, you should see a nice sharkmouth ribbon! He did the extra job of awarding them before the new end date. A big Thank You Jim!

Jean-Luc, just checking in. My F-51D is finally ready for its first NMF coat, but as I have managed to somehow contract Flu, spraying enamels just somehow seems to be beyond my abilities at present.
As I hate being cooped up in bed, and as many of the campaigns seem to be overrunning their intended cut-off dates, I’m just sorting out (rescheduling) my builds for the campaigns I’ve enlisted in.
Also doing some online research into a few of the ongoing builds.
At IPMS South Africa there are some photos of one of the most amazing Hunters I’ve seen to date. It would have been an excellent Show your Teeth build(click on the image to go to the gallery):

My first campaign ribbon
Thanks Jean Luc and everyone else involved for making this such a great campaign.
Now my single ribbon looks lonely and it needs some more for company.I think this may have started something :-)
Cant wait to get home and build something!

I'll throw my hat in the ring with everyone else Jean-Luc! Thanks for your time and effort in making my first campaign so much fun. After all, this is supposed to be what the hobby is all about.
Eric, that has to be the coolest, most awsome paint scheme I've ever seen on an aircraft! It would be worth the trouble of painting the Earth yellow and black if it meant we could use that camo!
